What Happened to Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai on Love in the Clouds Ending?

However, Ji Bo Zai was willing to sacrifice himself because he realized that Ming Yi was far more important to him than he had imagined.

However, a bigger secret was revealed that severed Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai’s relationship. At that time, Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai were preparing for the next Qingyun Tournament. Ji Bo Zai became the squad leader of the Jixing Abyss, and Ming Yi became the forging master of the Shuohua Academy. Ming Yi followed suit because she had to confirm that Ming Xin was behind her poisoning.

They captured Ming Xin and used a soul-seizing artifact to extract the truth from him. It turned out that Ming Xin had been tasked with kidnapping Ming Yi and taking her to Emperor Zhushui because he knew that Ming Yi was the daughter of Bo Yu Cen and the last descendant of the Bo Clan.

Ming Yi went to Yaoguang Mountain Palace to confirm this. While Ming Yi was talking with Jing Shu, Ji Bo Zai was meeting with She Tian Lin. From those two conversations, the truth slowly came to light.

A long time ago, the Emperor of Yaoguang Mountain favored his concubine, Madam Meng, more than his wife, Jing Shu. Knowing her position depended on giving birth to a son with a spiritual vein, Jing Shu lived in constant fear. When her child was born without one, panic took over.

Desperate to keep her title, she discovered that Bo Yu Cen, a fairy from Zhushui State, had given birth at the same time. However, Bo Yu Cen died shortly after giving birth, leaving the baby girl to her younger sister, Bo Yu Lan.

Jing Shu took the baby after threatening Bo Yu Lan. Ming Yi’s real father was a Yaoguang warrior who had been imprisoned for marrying a fairy from another realm. To save him, Jing Shu forced Bo Yu Lan to reveal the secret of the Veil of Illusion. Filled with anger and grief, Bo Yu Lan took the baby to the border and later told Jing Shu that the child had died.

Bo Yu Lan truly almost ended the boy’s life. But when the moment came, she could not bring herself to do it. Instead, she left the baby at the border, only to return and find him gone.

For years, Bo Yu Lan searched everywhere until she heard of a boy living in the Sunken Abyss with a mark between his eyebrows. To atone for her sins, Bo Yu Lan tried everything she could to save the boy.

Meanwhile, Ji Bo Zai also learned the truth. That She Tian Lin was not just Ming Yi’s master but her real father. He was the warrior who had once married Bo Yu Cen. He had stayed by her side all these years under the guise of a master, only to protect her.

When the palace guards discovered an intruder, chaos spread. Ji Bo Zai hurried to find Ming Yi, and in that moment, a mark appeared between his brows, the same one Jing Shu once described. When Ming Yi finally saw She Tian Lin, she could no longer hold back her tears. Father and daughter were finally reunited.

Later, Ji Bo Zai uncovered an even deeper secret through the memories that were kept inside Bo Yu Lan’s painting. He discovered that he was the true son of Jing Shu and the Emperor of Yaoguang Mountain, the real Ming Xian.

But Ji Bo Zai also learned that the person who had saved his life was the same one who had once abandoned him. This cruel truth shattered his heart, awakening the pain of the Heavenly Grief once more.

During the investiture ceremony, Ming Yi helped Ji Bo Zai reclaim his identity. She confessed that she was Ming Xian and presented a recording mirror proving that Ming Xin and Mu Qi Bai had poisoned her, leading to Yaoguang Mountain’s defeat at the Qingyun Tournament.

The emperor punished Ming Xin and Madam Meng, declaring Ji Bo Zai the true crown prince. However, Ming Yi and She Tian Lin were sentenced for deceiving the monarch. Ming Zhen Hui used an artifact made by Ming Yi to imprison them, but Ji Bo Zai rescued them using his Spirit Well.

Ji Bo Zai then chose to sever their relationship, saying that he resented Bo Yu Lan and that seeing Ming Yi reminded him of pain. At the Marriage Stone, they erased their names. Both were heartbroken. Ming Yi returned to the academy and revealed the truth about their identities to Mu Tian Ji and their friends.

Later, Ming Yi joined the Jixing Abyss warriors, while Ji Bo Zai served Yaoguang Mountain. They were destined to face each other again in the tournament.

Ming Yi soon discovered Chao Yuan’s deception when he pretended to be Ming Xin’s hostage. She was angry and heartbroken. Ming Yi realized that Chao Yuan was different from the Situ Ling she once knew.

Meanwhile, Ji Boi Zai’s Heavenly Grief finally relapsed after Chao Yuan used a winged leech to trigger it. Desperate, Bu Xiu begged Ming Yi to save him, and she extended Ji Bo Zai’s life using her heart’s blood.

Chao Yuan then lured her with the Diwu tree, demanding marriage in exchange. Knowing it was a trap, Ming Yi still agreed, but she had her own plan.

At the wedding chamber, Ming Yi provoked Chao Yuan again and again. When he leaned in to kiss her. The bride’s face suddenly turned into Ji Bo Zai’s. It turned out that Ji Bo Zai had disguised himself as her, while the real Ming Yi, Bu Xiu, and Twenty-Seven searched for the Diwu tree.

Chao Yuan was furious and almost destroyed the Diwu tree that he planted on his heart. Ming Yi snatched it from him and tried to flee. However, Chao Yuan stopped them. Determined to defeat him, Ming Yi used Chao Yuan’s emblem to form an arrow and bow. Chao Yuan was injured, but Ming Yi still saved his life.

Ji Bo Zai’s life was saved after She Tian Lin created a new Golden Millet Dream. Bu Xiu confessed that Ji Bo Zai never wanted to leave Ming Yi. He did it only because his spirit was linked to the Sky-Swallowing Array, and he did not want her to suffer when he was gone.

When Ji Bo Zai woke up, Ming Yi furiously asked if he had ever thought about how she would live without him. He told her she will live a good life, surrounded by friends and will find a new lover.

It was all because she is the destined Warrior Goddess who had won seven tournaments. She is the morning sun that will never set. But Ming Yi insisted that she would never love anyone else. After all they been through, she only wanted to live with him. Her sincerity finally melted his heart.

Together with She Tian Lin, they sought a way to stop Chao Yuan from activating the Sky-Swallowing Array. She Tian Lin, Bu Xiu, and Twenty-Seven went to Zhushui Palace to search for information while Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai joined the tournament. They obtained the records but at the cost of She Tian Lin’s arm.

On the finals, Chao Yuan activated the array. It immediately drained power from all participants and everyone who was there. Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai tried to seal it with their power according to the record, but Chao Yuan reignited it with his netherbeast power.

Refusing to let Ji Bo Zai sacrifice himself, Ming Yi reminded him of their promise. Together they gave their lives to seal the array. Chao Yuan who saw Ming Yi flew into the array got panicked and tried to chase her. But the netherbeast stopped him.

When Ji Bo Zai and Ming Yi opened their eyes, they saw a fairy in red. She was Lin Zi Yao, ruler of the Netherbeast Army. She revealed that the Zhushui Emperor had caused the calamity a century ago, using her to raise the netherbeasts before imprisoning and sacrificing her to forge the Sky-Swallowing Array.

To destroy the array, they need someone from the Bo clan with a special spiritual vein. Because Ji Bo Zai and Ming Yi’s has yet to reach the Perfected Stage, Lin Zi Yao proposed to merge her remaining power with Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai’s spiritual veins. This will grant them the strength to break the array.

JI Bo Zai and Ming Yi returned to the tower and performed the Heartbond Array, destroying the Sky-Swallowing Array. The absorbed spirits returned to their owners, and Chao Yuan turned into golden dust.

It turned out that Chao Heng has been the last one in Ji Bo Zai’s list of revenge. He burned the name plate in front of Bo Yu Lan’s painting. He also said that the debts between Bo Yu Lan and him could never be settled. What she did for him was more that what she owed him. Ji Bo Zai had made peace with the past so that Bo Yu Lan could rest in peace.

The Qingyun Tournament still continued being held. No matter the result was, the Blessed Rain was shared equally among the realms. Ji Bo Zai refused the crown prince title, choosing to remain a warrior. He and Ming Yi continued to fight against each other, and people still wondered who was stronger.

On their shared birthday, She Tian Lin, Mu Tian Ji, and their friends gathered to celebrate. Drunk from a drinking contest, Ji Bo Zai still remembered to give Ming Yi a scallion pancake from Jing Shu, who was now free but too ashamed to face her. Touched, Ming Yi promised to visit.

At the end, finally, Ji Bo Zai and Ming Yi apologized to each other and promised never to lie again. He confessed his love, she accepted, and together they rewrote their names on the Marriage Stone. This time, the names were Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai.

What Happened to Situ Ling or Chao Yuan on Love in the Clouds Ending?

Situ Ling finally decided to let go of his old name and accept his real identity as the third prince of Zhushui State, Chao Yuan. He was born weak without a spiritual vein. Therefore, he was mocked and bullied by them. The only person who stayed by his side was Fu Yue.

When Ming Yi learned Chao Yuan’s real identity and his deception, she severed their relationship. Back in the palace, Fu Yue told him to give up on Ming Yi because they could never be together. Fu Yue reminded Chao Yuan that she was the only one who had stood by him through everything.

But he still chose Ming Yi in the end. When Fu Yue asked why, Chao Yuan answered coldly, stating that she was not Ming Yi. That was the moment Fu Yue finally understood that she would never have a place in his heart.

Chao Yuan said he would grow his own spiritual vein and wouldn’t need her anymore. Fu Yue left the palace in tears, unaware that he was standing behind the door. Chao Yuan might not have loved her, but he still cared. Chao Yuan knew he would never move on, and letting her go was the best decision for Fu Yue.

Later, Chao Yuan killed his last brother and used his power to nourish the Diwu Tree. The Emperor was elated that the tree had finally grown. He demanded the tree, promising to share it with Chao Yuan after completing the Golden Millet Dream.

When Chao Yuan asked for the crown prince position, the emperor finally saw how ambitious he had become. Chao Heng tried to take the tree by force but was struck down by poison. Chao Yuan said that if he had hesitated even for a moment, he might have spared him. Now, with the Golden Millet Dream inside him, he had finally grown his own spiritual vein.

Chao Yuan triggered Ji Bo Zai’s Heavenly Grief to flare and revealed to the world that he had the Diwu Tree. He knew Ming Yi would come for it. He promised to give it to her, but only if she agreed to marry him.

In the wedding chamber, Chao Yuan realized too late that the bride wasn’t Ming Yi at all. It was Ji Bo Zai in disguise. Furious, he attacked, and Ming Yi appeared to protect Ji Bo Zai.

Ming Yi confessed that she was healed because Ji Bo Zai had given her the Golden Millet Dream. Only then did Chao Yuan understand that she had lied to protect Ji Bo Zai. They had both risked their lives for each other. That truth hit him harder than any wound. Rage filled his chest.

He tore the Diwu Tree from his heart and held it out before them, ready to destroy it. Ming Yi snatched it and fled with Ji Bo Zai, but Chao Yuan stopped them with his netherbeast power. In the end, Ming Yi struck him down using power drawn from his own emblem, the same one that had once helped her years ago.

The emblem shattered, and Chao Yuan fell. Ming Yi told him that since he had chosen to become Chao Yuan, their paths would never cross again. Watching her leave, he laughed bitterly. This time, he had truly lost her.

After that, Chao Yuan merged with the netherbeast. In the final stage of the Qingyun Tournament, he was the only one of his team to enter the tower. Chao Yuan activates the array, and in an instant, it absorbs the spiritual energy from those who are present. Chao Yuan’s power also grew from it, and it was hard to defeat him.

Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai realized that their only choice was to destroy the array, even if it meant dying together. When Ming Yi flew into the array, Chao Yuan’s mind cleared for a moment. Panic set in, but the netherbeast held him back.

When she returned alive, relief washed over him, but it didn’t last long. The netherbeast went mad, drawing power from the array. Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai joined hands and performed the Heartbond Array, destroying both the Sky-Swallowing Array and Chao Yuan along with the netherbeast.

In his final moments, Chao Yuan reached out to Ming Yi and asked her to fulfill her promise. He wished to meet her again and start over in another life. But even as his body turned into golden dust, Ming Yi said nothing.

At the ending, some time later, deep in a quiet forest, Fu Yue sat alone on the grass. She looked lost and tired until a blue butterfly landed on her hand. A faint light filled her eyes as she whispered softly that she would still recognize him, even if he was only one among millions.

What Happened to Mu Tian Ji and Yan Xiao on Love in the Clouds Ending?

The truth finally came to light after Mu Qi Bai’s death. Yan Xiao had never poisoned the emperor. The potion only made the emperor sleep; it did not harm his health.

Yan Xiao could not abandon Mu Qi Bai out of gratitude. At the same time, he could not bear to hurt Mu Tian Ji or her loved ones. Torn between loyalty and conscience, Yan Xiao chose a quiet path of redemption.

Later, he joined the Shuhua Academy with Meng Yan Qiu and Chen Xi. They stood by Ming Yi and Mu Tian Ji even when chaos erupted after the truth about Ming Yi and Ji Bo Zai’s identities was exposed.

Over time, the bond between Mu Tian Ji and Yan Xiao returned to what it once was, an inseparable couple. Watching them from a distance, Meng Yan Qiu smiled. Although he had once had feelings for Mu Tian Ji, he was content to see her happy.

In the end, after the tournament ended, everything went back to normal. Yan Xiao told Mu Tian Ji that Ji Bo Zai had proposed to Ming Yi, but Ming Yi turned him down.

Surprisingly, Mu Tian Ji said that she didn’t want to get married either because it would tie her down and hinder her career. Yan Xiao understood her feelings and said that he would always support her, and that living without a name or title was fine for him.

My Two Cents

It was sad when Ming Yi went to see her mother to confirm her identity. Seeing that her mother was under confinement, Ming Yi wanted to bring her out of the palace for her safety.

Ming Yi only wanted to save Jing Shu. That is the heart of a real daughter. However, Jing Shu never considered her feelings at all.

It took time for her to accept that she still had some affection for Ming Yi. But I’m not so sure about the Emperor of Yaoguang Mountain. Let Ji Bo Zai handle him. That old man truly needs a beating. 😤

I don’t feel the slightest bit of pity for Chao Yuan. I just wondering if his painful past influenced his character and turned him bad. Despite saying he would never be like his father or brothers, he ended up joining them.
