First of all, we have to criticize Legend of the Female General drama’s runtime. A 35-minute episode was very disappointing. WE NEED MORE! In our humble opinion, 45 minutes is the minimum we accept. The Legend of Heroes: Duel of Mount Hua is divided into four-part mini-series. So, we’ve covered each one in this separate section. This wuxia mini-series were parts of the Condor Heroes trilogy, which I didn’t really follow or understand. But fans of the wuxia genre will surely recognize the characters. And with the big names portraying them, we’re certain these are dramas you shouldn’t miss.

Duel on Mount Hua: Nine Yin True Sutra was release in July 2025, but we’re including them here because they are the first and second parts of this mini-series. Therefore, my dear readers could have the whole information about this mini-series.

Just like Duel on Mount Hua: Nine Yin True Sutra, this Duel on Mount Hua: Eastern Heretic and Western Venom also released in July 2025. To be honest, we only laid our eyes on this mini-series because of this part. Who could refuse Zhou Yi Wei, Gao Wei Guang, and Chen Du Ling in one scene? Surely not us.
So we start watching it and discovered that, even we’re not a wuxia lover, we could enjoy this drama, slowly. Yes… slowly. Because wuxia drama tends to have many characters (we emphasized in MANY) with complicated names. That was a bit too much for our limited memories.😅
Huang Yao Shi and Ouyang Feng enter the martial world as two wildly unconventional figures. One drifts freely like an untethered immortal. The other is playful and unpredictable like a child. They aren’t exactly allies or enemies. And they don’t fit neatly into good or evil.
