After all of his students had completed their thesis defense, the principal of Jiangzhou University of Chinese Medicine asked He Su Ye if he was interested in becoming a lecturer. He did not turn down the offer. Professor Yu, who was present at the time, was incredibly proud of him.
Meanwhile, Shen Xi Fan’s resignation and her departure date were drawing closer. She accidentally discovered a bank card and a set of passport photos her parents had secretly prepared for her studies abroad. All this time, they had seemed opposed to the idea, but deep down, they had been quietly supporting her dreams.
The bond between the Shens and He Su Ye’s family grew stronger. Professor Yu come to their house and joined them for meals. He also helped monitor Mr. and Mrs. Shen’s health. One day, he gently suggested that Mrs. Shen undergo a medical check-up. She went to the hospital, but the results were far from what she expected.

Lin Yi Shen and Xu Xiang Ya’s long-standing tension finally came to an end when Lin Yi Shen confessed his feelings for her, just before she returned to her hometown for the New Year celebration. They were happier than ever, because their love for each other was real and mutual.
Xu Xiang Ya planned to resign from the hotel along with Shen Xi Fan. She felt that working in a hotel came with too many limitations. She wanted to explore a new environment and avoid office romance. Meanwhile, Lin Yi Shen said he would stay at the hotel, so that when Shen Xi Fan graduated and returned, they could continue working as colleagues.
Not long after, Xu Xiang Ya received an offer from a friend to become the general manager of a restaurant. She thought of turning it into a medicinal cuisine restaurant and asked He Su Ye to be her consultant, with his herbal farm supplying the ingredients. Of course, He Su Ye agreed to help. Still, that did not stop Lin Yi Shen from worrying about her decision.
As the years passed, after Shen Xi Fan returned to China, she and Xu Xiang Ya teamed up to expand the business together. Somehow, this eased the worry in Lin Yi Shen’s heart, knowing that Xu Xiang Ya would not be facing the challenges on her own.

Yan Heng’s father wanted him to marry a girl from a wealthy business family. He refused. Determined to control his own life, Yan Heng went to Heng City and organized an IT summit at Guan Huating Manor Hotel.
But his true purpose was to find Shen Xi Fan and propose to her. It was his way of rebelling against a father who disapproved of her humble background.
Unfortunately, Shen Xi Fan did not want to see him. Her friend helped her hide. So Yan Heng made a bold move and waited in the hotel lobby with a huge bouquet of red roses. As a VIP guest, his presence caused a commotion, and the hotel GM, desperate to calm things down, asked Shen Xi Fan to meet him. So she did.
Shen Xi Fan took the bouquet, led Yan Heng to a quiet spot, and hit him with it. It was sooooo satisfying to see red petals scatter around the bewildered Yan Heng.
Yet this scumbag still had the nerve to ask her to get back together.
Yan Heng believed their breakup was simply caused by his busy schedule. He thought that now, with his priorities straight, they could start over. But Shen Xi Fan firmly refused.
Yan Heng failed to realize how much he had hurt her. He thought a few flowers and an apology would be enough to win her back. Instead, his actions led to hotel gossip, and Shen Xi Fan was scolded by her boss and started to have nightmares.
Yan Heng’s father was watching from afar. He knew Yan Heng was only chasing Shen Xi Fan to avoid arranged marriage. He kept calling and demanding his son return home. Yan Heng refused, no matter how severe the threats became.
After a failed dinner and another scolding from Shen Xi Fan, Yan Heng followed her to the TCM clinic. There, he met He Su Ye for the first time. By instinct, he knew that this tall and handsome doctor (this is a personal opinion😁) was his rival in love. And much to MY delight, Yan Heng’s selfishness only pushed Shen Xi Fan even closer to He Su Ye.
In one last desperate attempt, Yan Heng went to her family home with a stack of gifts. Her parents were shocked when he said he wanted to marry their daughter and support her studying abroad. But Mrs. Shen noticed something important. Shen Xi Fan was not with him, which clearly meant she did not agree.
Seeing him in her home, trying to twist the story and blame her for the breakup, pushed Shen Xi Fan over the edge. She finally exploded and let out all the frustration she had kept inside. Just then, He Su Ye arrived with a food container.
When he stepped in to protect her, Yan Heng became furious. He asked if Shen Xi Fan hated him because she had fallen for a poor man like He Su Ye. But when he insulted He Su Ye, Mr. Shen stood up and ordered him to leave. Only then did Yan Heng feel the sting of true rejection.
Later, drunk and frustrated, Yan Heng destroyed his hotel room. He had to pay for the damages, got scolded by his father, and the hotel GM decided not to extend his stay. Before checking out, he met Shen Xi Fan one last time. This time, Yan Heng was quiet and full of regret when he learned Shen Xi Fan was already with He Su Ye.
I do not think Yan Heng ever really understood what Shen Xi Fan meant when she said He Su Ye made her happy and content.
It was something Yan Heng could not give her, even after seven years together. He had always believed a person’s worth came from accomplishments like career, wealth, and social status. So he watched her walk away with disbelief in his eyes, unable to understand how love could come from something so simple and sincere.

My Two Cents
My favorite part of the ending was when He Su Ye finally understood the real meaning behind Shen Xi Fan’s drawing of him. It showed a boyish face with a green leaf beside it.
It turned out that Shen Xi Fan was teasing him by calling him a green tea boy, which describes someone who appears innocent and kind but actually has a hidden motive and a conniving nature. It truly matched his sly personality, right? 😆
During the wedding, He Su Ye’s chatty colleague became the official emcee and did a surprisingly good job. I also really liked that the hotpot uncle opened his stall at the wedding. He was an important witness to their love story, and his presence added a special touch.
Now the drama has come to an end. I have watched it three times already. My only regret is not giving it a higher rating in my earlier review. Still, Shen Xi Fan and He Su Ye brought a love story that became a source of joy for everyone around them. I truly cannot imagine a better ending for them.
