What Happened to Tang Qi and Su Cheng Cheng on Filter Drama Ending?
Tang Qi had long been suspicious of Su Cheng Cheng and Quan Sheng Tang during the TBC event. To uncover the truth, he pretended to be blind. His act paid off when Su Cheng Cheng was caught red-handed morphing into Su Miao.
Although she once promised to tell him everything once his eyes recovered, she hadn’t exactly prepared to be exposed like that. After she confessed and demonstrated her morphing powers, she morphed into Su Miao, Fang Jin, Quan Sheng Tang, and even the alpaca, and their relationship grew distant.
But not for long. Tang Qi was taken aback when he saw Su Cheng Cheng chatting cheerfully with a mysterious man at a pastry shop. He assumed she was slacking off work. Turns out, she and her cousin were actually promoting TBC’s new memory-awakening perfume at a nursing home.
There, she helped the grannies revisit their happiest memories, earning their love and admiration. Tang Qi showed up too. And as he watched her radiate warmth and kindness, he saw glimpses of Su Miao and Fang Jin in her. That’s when it hit him. He’d always been in love with Su Cheng Cheng.

The way Su Cheng Cheng yanked Tang Qi looked more like she was eager to hug him.
Tang Qi felt his heart racing and then confessed that he was falling for her. But when he leaned in for a kiss, Su Cheng Cheng threw him to the ground. She didn’t believe he had feelings for her. Su Miao and Fang Jin had special qualities that made Tang Qi like them, but Su Cheng Cheng couldn’t find any special quality in her that made Tang Qi like her.
Tang Qi finally understood why he could see only Su Cheng Cheng in color. His heart had seen her clearly long before his eyes did. He began pursuing her in earnest, but Su Cheng Cheng’s response was chilly at best.
Encouraged by Gu Yu to step into her world, Tang Qi became more proactive. While working on a new perfume, Tang Qi cleared all his past misunderstandings and ended up confessing to her. He told Su Cheng Cheng that it wasn’t Su Miao or Fang Jin’s appearances he loved. It was the compassion they shared with her. This time, Su Cheng Cheng finally accepted his feelings.
But just as things looked up, the filter bracelet glitched again. Su Cheng had to hide from her family. She called Lin Yuan to cover for her, not knowing Lin Yuan was seated between her parents. The lie crumbled instantly.

Tang Qi theorized that the bracelet worked like a digital space, transforming her body into data and projecting a visual illusion. Su Cheng Cheng (and I) had no clue what he meant. He decided only the old woman who gave her the bracelet could help. Su Cheng Cheng panicked and promised never to use the filter again.
Tang Qi’s calm helped her regain composure. While searching for the old lady, they found out the old woman was Liu Xiang Ping. But the police claimed she died two years ago.
Su Cheng Cheng tried breaking the bracelet, but nothing scratched it. She could no longer hide her invisibility, and her parents soon discovered she was never on a business trip. With no other choice, she and Tang Qi came clean to the entire family.
The chaos made Su Cheng Cheng reflect deeply. She regretted ever clinging to the bracelet. Now that she was invisible, she just wanted her family to see her again. She admitted she had long been insecure about her appearance, longing to be pretty so she could be loved and respected. The anxiety had trapped her in dependency on the filter.
Tang Qi took her on a lakeside date and proposed on one knee. Later, during a family dinner, she received a call through the bracelet. A woman asked, “Do you like the filter?” Su Cheng Cheng quickly said no, she liked herself better. The woman told her to come to their meeting spot the next day.
There, the old woman appeared. As Su Cheng Cheng approached, her body became visible again. The old woman thanked her for participating in their filter experiment. The bracelet was now more powerful and stable, and it belonged to Su Cheng Cheng. But Su Cheng Cheng has determined to return it. She no longer needed it because she wanted to stay true to herself.
After she gave back the bracelet the old woman left. She didn’t answer Su Cheng Cheng’s question about her identity only waved at her. Su Cheng Cheng could see she also wore a bracelet on her wrist.
At home, everyone (including Lin Yuan and Gu Yu) was relieved she was no longer invisible. Traumatized by the bracelet, Su Cheng Cheng ever since refused to use beauty filters or wear makeup.
She and Tang Qi made their relationship public. Her parents adored him. Mr. Su even sent him breakfast. Meanwhile, TBC is prepared to open its first offline store. Su Cheng Cheng and Tang Qi worked hard to make it happen.
But just as everything settled, a new crisis emerged. Gu Yu believed Su Cheng Cheng was pregnant. Worse, Su Qing Li overheard the conversation and told her parents. They summoned the couple at once.
Under intense questioning, Su Cheng Cheng was confused when Mrs. Su suddenly asked when the wedding would be. Mr. Su had even picked an auspicious date, which would happen next week. Su Cheng Cheng tried to deny any rush, but Mrs. Su replied, “The baby can’t wait.”
Eventually, the truth came out. It was Lin Yuan who was pregnant, not Su Cheng Cheng. Tang Qi revealed it when Su Cheng Cheng stayed silent to protect her friend’s secret. Mr. and Mrs. Su, who adored Lin Yuan like a daughter, treated it like a royal affair and almost barged into Lin Yuan’s house that very night. Thankfully, Su Qing Li stopped them just in time.
With help from Tang Qi and Gu Yu, Su Cheng Cheng finally came to terms with her misunderstanding about filters. She realized that moderate photo retouching isn’t deception. It simply enhances what the eye already sees. Technology should serve us, not control us.
The key is not overusing it. Su Cheng Cheng began wearing makeup again and even proposed a makeup app for TBC’s first offline store. This is an idea her colleagues embraced immediately. The store became a huge success.
Tang Qi planned a romantic rooftop proposal. He set up a tent and prepared everything. But the tent collapsed, and the ring was lost. While he searched frantically, Su Cheng Cheng smiled. The ring was already on her finger. When he saw it, Tang Qi beamed. He said the last time he proposed, he couldn’t see her, so now he wanted to do it face-to-face.
Su Cheng Cheng’s eyes sparkled as she pulled out a ring of her own (she also planned to propose!!) and asked if he would spend the rest of his life with her. Before he could answer, snow began to fall. It felt like the universe was giving them its blessing.
Fast forward to the wedding. At the ending, Tang Qi and Su Cheng Cheng kissed, beaming with happiness, surrounded by all who loved them.
What Happened to Gu Yu and Lin Yuan on Filter Drama Ending?

Gu Yu, trying to reason with her, pointed out that if filters and Photoshop count as deception, so does makeup. After all, isn’t it just enhancing what’s already there? Lin Yuan disagree with his opinion and kicked him out of the room.
Lin Yuan had been feeling moody and sluggish lately. No energy, no appetite, wanted nothing but to laze around. Her manager got suspicious after watching Lin Yuan throw up from just a bite of cake. The symptoms were clear to her. The verdict: Lin Yuan was pregnant.
The news sent Lin Yuan spiraling. They had always used protection, and more importantly, she wasn’t ready for a baby or marriage. She feared she wouldn’t be a good mother.
Su Cheng Cheng supported Lin Yuan unconditionally and went with her to the hospital, where the doctor confirmed the baby was healthy and six weeks along. However, Lin Yuan wanted to abort the child and asked the doctor about the procedure.
But fate had more fun in store. As they left the obstetric department, they ran into Gu Yu and his mother. Su Cheng Cheng, caught red-handed with a pregnancy handbook, quickly hid it from Gu Yu. Lin Yuan claimed they were there for Su Cheng Cheng’s check-up. But Gu Yu noticed the pink cover and jumped to conclusions: Su Cheng Cheng was pregnant.
Meanwhile, Lin Yuan was haunted by unresolved past ordeal from being abandoned by her own parents. watching them fight endlessly and ended up being alone in the dark traumatized her. The pregnancy became a heavy emotional burden.
Back at work, Gu Yu confronted Tang Qi and Su Cheng Cheng, ready to scold them like an overinvested uncle. Oblivious to the truth, he urged Tang Qi to step up as a responsible father and lover. Su Cheng Cheng signaled Tang Qi to handle the situation.
Tang Qi drove Gu Yu out and asked whether it was Lin Yuan who was pregnant. Su Cheng Cheng has no choice but to admit the truth. She asked Tang Qi not to tell Gu Yu because Lin Yuan was not ready.
Gu Yu visited Lin Yuan that night. Su Qing Li overheard their conversation about Su Cheng Cheng’s pregnancy from the door. At dinner, Lin Yuan realized she could eat Gu Yu’s home cooking with ease. One surprise after another. Gu Yu brought up the pregnancy talk, thinking she was mad at him for telling Tang Qi.
Later that night Lin Yuan dropped the truth: she was the one who was pregnant. Su Cheng Cheng only went with her to the hospital. She apologized for hiding it because she simply didn’t know how to tell Gu Yu about it.
Unbeknownst to her, Gu Yu had been reflecting on his own advice to Tang Qi: if a woman doesn’t share news like this, maybe she doesn’t fully trust her partner. Now he was the guy whom Lin Yuan didn’t trust. But instead of being upset, he smiled and told her it was okay. Lin Yuan had told him now, and that’s what mattered.
They both admitted they were scared, but also committed. Gu Yu didn’t want the pregnancy to be a burden, even though he desperately hoped to become a dad. Through quiet conversations, he revealed his own family wounds.
Lin Yuan realized his words were not just a story. He wanted her to keep the baby. Gu Yu believed in her, and that they could build a new life filled with warmth and love. Moved, Lin Yuan told him her decision: she would keep the baby. Because for the first time, she felt loved and wanted something she never had; a family.
In the end, With Su Cheng Cheng’s help, Gu Yu cleverly arranged for his mother to “accidentally” run into Lin Yuan and Mrs. Su. The three women ended up shopping together for baby supplies, and to his relief, they got along wonderfully, creating a cheerful and harmonious atmosphere.
On Su Cheng Cheng and Tang Qi’s wedding day, Gu Yu caught the bouquet. Judging by the teasing smiles around him, it looked like another wedding might not be far off.
My Two Cents
I love how the director chose not to use any beauty filters on Li Lan Di and some of the other actors. It gave the entire story a genuine feeling. You could clearly see Li Lan Di’s forehead pimples and her natural skin texture, which made her character even more relatable. Unfortunately, despite some obvious foundation, Tan Jian Ci’s complexion looked flawless and poreless in nearly every scene. 😉
