Deep Affection Eyes Ending Explained
What Happened to Ye Meng and Li Jin Yu on Deep Affection Eyes Ending?
Ye Meng found out that the person who framed her mother, Shu Yi, in the investment fraud was Li Ling Bai. Wang Xing Sheng was her accomplice, whose job was to lure ShuYi with the promise of generous reward.
The recording would serve as a solid proof to put Li Ling Bai in prison. But she was still concerned about Li Jin Yu’s feelings, since Li Ling Bai was his biological mother. However, Li Jin Yu reassured her that whoever did wrong must face the consequences.

But before Ye Meng could took action, Li Ling Bai was already used her influence to frame Ye Meng’s father, Ye Kang, instead. To help him, Li Jin Yu reached out to his estranged grandfather, who lived abroad. He never told Ye Meng about the condition his grandfather set, that he will only help Ye Kang if Li Jin Yu stops asking questions about the past, including those about his biological father. Still, for Ye Meng, Li Jin Yu was willing to do anything.
Li Jin Yu was keeping watch by Grandma Tou’s side when he received a message from an unknown number. It showed a picture of Ye Meng, tied up and unconscious inside a car. He rushed to the address mentioned and found Li Ling Bai waiting for him.
Furious, she accused him of teaming up with his grandfather to take Hanhai Group from her. Knowing she wanted his shares, Li Jin Yu immediately offered to sign the transfer agreement. Then he ran to the car where Ye Meng was bound to the driver’s seat, still unconscious. Li Jin Yu tried to break the window barehanded, but it was difficult.
At that moment, he saw Wang Xing Sheng and Wang Wu Sheng knock Li Ling Bai down. Wang Xing Sheng revealed his plan, he would kill both Li Jin Yu and Ye Meng and let the police believe Li Ling Bai was the murderer.
He lit the gasoline and put the lighter in Li Ling Bai’s hand. Panicked, Li Jin Yu struck the window harder. Just before the car exploded, he managed to pull Ye Meng out.
Li Ling Bai was arrested for her crimes. Later, Li Jin Yu visited her at the prison. He told her that he would take care of his younger brother and bring him back to Ningsui, so Grandma Tou can raise him. Though Li Ling Bai said nothing, she seemed relieved to hear this. After some time, Li Ling Bai finally revealed the truth to him.
Li Jin Yu was born not from love, but from rape. His father was Chen Guo Sheng, Li Chang Jin’s business partner, who drugged and assaulted Li Ling Bai. A month later, when she discovered she was pregnant, Li Ling Bai was forced to marry Cheng Guo Sheng so Li Chang Jin could profit from the union.
After learning the past, Li Jin Yu understood why his mother hated him so deeply. She was projecting her anger and pain onto him. He was fortunate to have Grandma Tou’s love and protection growing up.
Li Ling Bai also revealed the source of her hatred towards Shu Yi. originally, it was Shu Yi who was supposed to be adopted by Li Chang Jin. But Shu Yi gave up her chance so Li Ling Bai wouldn’t be left alone in the orphanage.
That act of kindness marked the start of Li Ling Bai’s misery. Out of resentment, she set trap for ShuYi, wanting her to suffer too. But Li Ling Bai never imagined that Shu Yi would ended up committing suicide.
The truth weighed heavily on Li Jin Yu. though Li Ling Bai was his mother, Ye Meng was his wife. He then remembered Grandma Tou’s words, that he must face what he had to face. Li Jin Yu released the recording of Li Ling Bai and Wang Xing Sheng plotting against Shu Yi to public. All he wanted was to clear Shu Yi’s name.
Knowing the truth burdened Li Jin Yu. he felt complicated because whatever happened, Li Ling Bai was his mother, but on the other hand, Ye Meng is his wife.
But he remembered Grandma Tou said to him, he must face what he had to face. So, he took the record of Li Ling Bai talking to Wang Xin Sheng about setting a trap for ShuYi to the police. Li Jin Yu only wants Ye Meng’s mother’s name to be cleared.
After two days in a coma, Ye Meng finally woke up. But not seeing Li Jin Yu by her side, Ye Meng grew worried. She looked for him at the house. It was empty, but she found a letter he had written, saying he could never atone for what Li Ling Bai had done to ShuYi, and that too many people had been hurt because of them. He didn’t want Ye Meng to be burdened.
And before ending the letter, Li Jin Yu wrote about “ending it”. A sense of foreboding crept up. Ye Meng tried to call him, but he never answered. Then she noticed flower petals scattered on the floor and guessed that Li Jin Yu might have gone to Li Mu’s grave.
When she didn’t find him there, the guard told her that he had gone to the back mountain. Ye Meng rushed over and saw him standing alone gazing at the vast scenery. Ye Meng broke down, fearing the worst, while Li Jin Yu looked at her in confusion. He never intended to kill himself. He had only written the letter out of guilt and didn’t answer the calls because the police had taken his phone during questioning.
BOOM! That was the sound of my brain short circuiting. All thanks to Li Jin Yu and his world-class clueless charm! 🤯
After everything settled, Li Jin Yu went to Hanhai and talked in front of the board members. He admitted his responsibility, pledged the net profits from his shares to compensate victims of the financial fraud for one condition, the Hailan Port project must preserve the original state of the village.
Li Jin Yu resigned from the company and let the professionals take over. He believed that he wasn’t suited for the role. Li Jin Yu planned to return to Ningsui and continue his career as an accountant.
Six months later.
Li Jin Yu brought his younger brother, Li Zhou Feng, back to Ningsui to live with Grandma Tou. And it was hard for the boy, who missed his mother and feared his grandmother. But Li Jin Yu reassured him that Grandma Tou was kind and would take good care of him.
Meanwhile, Li Jin Yu and Ye Meng were still enjoying their honeymoon phase when Ye Meng found out she was pregnant. Both were thrilled. Though Li Jin Yu promised to be a good father, he secretly feared the role since he was still haunted by the past. But he swore his child would never go through the same. That New Year, the whole family celebrated happily together.
In the end, later, Li Jin Yu confessed that he had been drawn to Ye meng ever since he first saw her jumping out of the window. And when she approached him, he pretended to be on a phone call just to avoid being too obvious. It was true, as Ye Meng said that, “The best hunter appear as prey.” The two walked down the port toward their home, ready to continue paving their path of love and happiness together.
What happened to Li Ling Bai on Deep Affection Eyes Ending?
To stop Li Ling Bai from framing Ye Kang, Li Jin Yu went abroad to meet his grandfather. The old man agreed to help him, and soon after, Ye Kang was cleared of trouble.
Li Ling Bai had wanted to use Ye Kang as leverage to suppress Li Jin Yu and forced him to hand over his 15% shares. But in the end, it was she who lost her position as CEO of Hanhai Group. The board of directors was dissatisfied with her reckless actions at Blue Sea Port project which caused their stocks to plummet.

The board representative, Mr. Wang, informed Li Ling Bai that she was no longer the largest shareholder after Li Chang Jin acquired shares from several minor investors. With the support of several old shareholders, Li Chang Jin and his grandson, Li Jin Yu, had now become the largest shareholders in the company. Li Ling Bai was furious because Hanhai was her life.
Desperate, Li Ling Bai ordered Wang Wu Sheng to kidnap Ye Meng and sent Li Jin Yu a picture of her, tied up and unconscious. At the port, Li Ling Bai was already waiting while Ye Meng was locked inside a car. Wang Wu Sheng was pouring gasoline over the car.
Knowing that Li Ling Bai was after his shares, Li Jin Yu willingly signed the transfer agreement to save Ye Meng. Li Ling Bai watched him struggle to break the car window with his bare hands. She seemed hesitate, torn between setting the fire and killing them both, or holding back. But in the end, she didn’t act.
What she didn’t anticipate was Wang Wu Sheng’s betrayal. Back when he had been ordered to capture and kill Wang Xing Sheng, the two had secretly struck a deal. Wang Wu Sheng let Wang Xing Sheng go in exchange for joining forces and a generous amount of money.
Together, they plotted to kill Li Jin Yu and Ye Meng. Then they will frame Li Ling Bai as the murderer. Fortunately, their plan failed, and Li Jin Yu and Ye Meng survived. As a result, Li Ling Bai was arrested for illegal confinement, kidnapping, arson, and more. Wang Xing Sheng, Wang Wu Sheng, and the rest of Li Ling Bai’s accomplice were also taken into custody.
Later, Li Jin Yu visited Li Ling Bai in prison, where she finally revealed the truth. Her grudge against Shu Yi began back in the orphanage. A man once came planning to adopt Shu Yi. When Li Ling Bai asked if Shu Yi would really leave, Shu Yi remembered her promise never to abandon her. Out of kindness, she gave up her chance and let Li Ling Bai to be adopted instead.
But that choice turned into a nightmare. Li Ling Bai was drugged and raped by Li Chang Jin’s business partner, Chen Guo Sheng. A month later, Li Ling Bai was pregnant and forced to marry him. that was the beginning of her hatred toward Li Jin Yu.
Years later, when she met Shu Yi again, she had become the Ye family’s daughter-in-law and living a happy life. Li Ling bai wanted revenge for her own misery. If Shu Yi hadn’t tried to be “too kind”, Li Ling Bai believed she wouldn’t have ended up like this. So she worked with Wang Xing Sheng to trap Shu Yi in the Hailan Port investment. But she never imagined that Shu Yi would take her own life.
Li Ling Bai also confessed that she hated Li Jin Yu, because at his lowest, he had Ye Meng by his side. She herself once had that kind of happiness, but the accident destroyed it all. that day, Li Ling Bai told Li Jin Yu to forget her. he must pretend he never had a mother. At last, Li Ling bai completely severed their bond as mother and son. Li Jin Yu walked out of the room and told her to take care of herself.
What Happened to Fang Ya En and Cheng Kai Ran on Deep Affection Eyes Ending?
Fang Ya En panicked when Chen Jia Yu’s teacher called, saying that Chen Jia Yu was missing from school. He was found by Cheng Kai Ran at the park, with wounds on his arm and neck.

Chen Jia Yu told Cheng Kai Ran that he had fought with some boys from his school who were badmouthing his mother. They said Fang Ya En was having an affair with a bar owner, which led to her divorce
. The truth shocked Cheng Kai Ran. But Chen Jia Yu stopped him from telling Fang Ya En. He was afraid his mother would worry if she found out.
This incident, however, made Fang Ya En angry. Overwhelmed with worry, she lashed out to Cheng Kai Ran, saying that he had been fighting since he was young and she didn’t want her son to pick up such behaviours from him. She insisted she didn’t want Chen Jia Yu to get into fights, even if it was a self-defence. She also blurted out that Chen Jia Yu wasn’t his son, so he wouldn’t care so much. her words deeply hurt Cheng Kai Ran.
At home, it was Chen Jia Yu’s turn to be upset with his mother. He argued that he chose boxing to defend himself from bullies, and she shouldn’t have spoken so harshly to Cheng Kai Ran.
Chen Jia Yu also said that she had been hovering over him his whole life, and if she keeps doing it, it will suffocate him. Her son’s words leaving Fang Ya En pondering. But from that day on, her relationship with Cheng Kai Ran grew distant.
But one day, after ye Meng wake up from her coma, she mustered up the courage to talk to him. Fang Ya En admitted that she was attracted to Cheng Kai Ran. however, her past relationship with Chen Jian hurt her and she need time to heal.
Cheng Kai Ran painfully agreed to give her time. Later, Fang Ya En began to avoid him. When Cheng Kai Ran opened his Jubaoshi Restaurant, she and Chen Jia Yu didn’t attend the grand opening and only sent a bouquet. Cheng Kai Ran pretended to be fine, but deep down, he still hoped she would come.

Cheng Kai Ran converted his bar into a restaurant mainly because of what happened with Chen Jia Yu. he didn’t want people gossiping about Fang Ya En and tarnishing her reputation, nor did he want Chen Jia Yu to be bullied again.
Their relationship remained strained for months until Fang Ya En found out that Cheng kai Ran was going on a blind date. she couldn’t hide her discomfort. It was Chen Jia Yu who pushed his mother to face her feelings. He took her to the restaurant where the blind date was held.
Fang Ya En saw Cheng kai Ran dining with another woman, and restlessness consumed her. Meanwhile, Cheng Kai Ran politely rejected the match. He told the woman that he already had someone he liked.
Ironically, the child saw things more clearly than his mother. Chen Jia Yu knew that Fang Ya En had feelings for Cheng kai Ran but was too afraid to open her heart and worried about his opinion. So he reassured his mother that he was fine if Fang Ya En dated Cheng Kai Ran.
To him, it meant there would be someone else to protect his mother. Ye Meng who also saw Fang Ya En hesitation, reassured her to embrace the new romance. She told her that if she liked someone, just give it a try.
During the celebration of the pregnancy and Qiao Mai Mai’s acceptance into Jiangbei Music Academy, Cheng Kai Ran expressed his feelings through a hardcore love song he had learned from Qiao Mai Mai. Out of everyone at the restaurant, the only one who truly enjoyed it was Fang Ya En. Her eyes sparkled with happiness, and her smile was wide. That day, they began their relationship as lovers.
My Musing
I really don’t know how the adoption process works, but I think the way it portrayed in this drama felt too far-fetched. It seemed like on the same day Shu Yi gave up her chance, Li Ling Bai was already leaving the orphanage. Paperwork done in a single day? Seriously?
That said, I awas satisfied with Li Ling Bai’s ending. when she severed her bond with Li Jin Yu, it felt like the most rational closure for both of them. There’s no way such deep hatred could simply vanish.
I also appreciate how Li Jin Yu admitted he didn’t understand her pain, so he wasn’t qualified to tell her to let go of her hatred. It’s funny how something that feel unrealistic in setup can still lead to an outcome that feels real.
So, dear readers… what do you think about the ending? Did you feel the same way as I did? I’d really loved to hear your thoughts, so just share them in the comment box below. Well, that’s all for today, I’ll see you in another post of Drama Review and Ending Explained articles. Until then, see you!
