What Happened to Xu Miyu and Ji Feng on The Epoch of Miyu Ending?
Xu Miyu is no longer a lobby manager after applying for department transfer. Now she joined the sales department as a sales representative, becoming Lu Zhen Zhens colleague.
Lu Zhen Zhen immediately tried to sabotage her work by cooperating with Duan Ao Xiang. Yet, Xu Miyu still emerged as the winner after successfully closing a deal with a tech company earlier than expected.
Later, Xu Miiyu came up with the idea of turning two small halls in Purong Hotel into an art exhibition area. Tan Ji Zhou became interested in her proposal. And although Ji Feng was happy with her progress, he worried the plan was too risky, especially with the heated internal conflict inside Purong.
This becomes a problem for both of them. To Xue Rui, Ji Feng admitted that he was worried that Xu Miyu would have a hard time in the sales department because she still naïve. Xue Rui quickly stopped him, saying that Xu Miyu is not a naïve person. In his eyes, Ji Feng was simply jealous of Tan Ji Zhou.
Meanwhile, Li Qiao Qi also tried to help Xu Miyu understand her feelings. She asked whether Xu Miyu was truly upset because Ji Feng rejected her proposal, or because she unsupported in her career.
However, according to her analysis, Xu Miyu and Ji Feng were simply too obsessed with work, to the point that they talked about works in their dates.
Li Qiao Qi reminded Xu Miyu that relationships were not only about results, but also about enjoying the process of getting along with each other.
In the end, Ji Feng approved Xu Miyu’s proposal and even promoted her to Sales Manager. He believed Xu Miyu soon would face many important clients and needed a stronger title to gain recognition. Xu Miyu initially refused, but after listening to his reasons, she accepted it.
During the preparation for the art exhibition, Qian Kun arranged for Xu Miyu to handle client communication while Lu Zhen Zhen managed the internal coordination. In reality, Qian Kun was already planning to sabotage the event.

Ji Feng told them that it was a surprise. Tan Ji Zhou was stunned when he realized it was Years, the missing painting they had been desperately searching for.
At the same time, Ji Feng saw Xu Miyu rushing back while carrying another painting in her arms. He instantly understood what she did and his heart lurched. Meanwhile, Xu Miyu also realized what Ji Feng had secretly been doing behind the scenes.
After the ceremony ended, Ji Feng brought Xue Rui and Xu Miyu to confront Wei Si Yuan and Qian Kun. They were shocked to learn that Ji Feng and Xue Rui have already discovered their plan earlier but deliberately played along so they could catch them red-handed. Although the case was solved, the incident only worsened Xu Miyu and Ji Feng’s relationship.
Xu Miyu became furious after she learned that Ji Feng had known about the missing painting all along but chose not to tell her. Ji Feng argued that Wei Si Yuan and his people were determined to sabotage the event, so they had no choice but to play along.
Xu Miyu, however, believed their relationship lacked trust. Ji Feng admitted that he kept it from her because she would never agree to the plan. But in Xu Miyu’s eyes, gambling with guests’ interests was unacceptable.
She felt Ji Feng was too cold hearted. Someone who willing to use even her and Tan Ji Zhou as pawns to achieve his goal. hearing her defended Tan Ji Zhou made Ji Feng got more jealous and their argument grew worse until Xu Miyu finally asked for a time apart.
Later, Xu Miyu asked for a chance to negotiate a client in New Zealand. Her request was approved by Ji Feng. But instead of telling her personally, he sent Xue Rui to pass on the message.
Xue Rui used the chance to remind Xu Miyu that adult relationships were complicated, and finding the right person was never easy. His words made her rethink everything.
Actually, what Xu Miyu wanted from Ji Feng are honesty and equality. She could forgive Ji Feng’s previous lies about Nie Yu Cheng and Jiang Zhi Cun, but she couldn’t accept that he still kept secrets even after they become a couple. In the end, she asked him for a temporary break from their relationship.
Although Xu Miyu successfully secured the deal with Yuntian, Ji Feng didn’t promote her to be the Director of Sales department. Instead, he chose Meng Jie, a newly recruited employee. Things become messier when Wei Si Yuan suddenly promoted Lu Zhen Zhen as the Deputy Director.
The Yuntian Group bidding event was finally held at Purong Hotel, with many major companies participating, including Marcus Yang’s Liberty Group. Wei Si Yuan used this opportunity to sabotage the event.
Together with Lu Zhen Zhen, Wei Si Yuan framed Xu Miyu for wiretapping during the bidding war. Ji Feng begged Marcus Yang to give him some time to resolve the matter before involving the police. He was given three days to resolve it.
Ji Feng got into heated argument with Wei Si Yuan while defending Xu Miyu. The situation nearly turned physical before Wei Wan Jun stepped in and took over the investigation.
In a desperate move, Ji Feng deleted the hotel’s surveillance cameras footage. As a result, Ji Feng was dismissed from his position as the General Manager, while Xu Miyu faced possible criminal charges.
Surprisingly, there’s a positive side of this matter. Ji Feng and Xu Miyu got back together again. They began investigating the case together, starting with Wei Si Yuan and Dai Hui.
But they hit a dead end until Xu Miyu met Nie Yu Cheng, who revealed that he overheard Lu Zhen Zhen talked to Xu Miyu’s stepsister on the phone. Since the two women has no connection at all, Xu Miyu became suspicious, especially remembering Xu Mi Yao visit to her place before the bug was discovered.
Xu Miyu rushed to find her sister, only to discover debt collectors harassing Xu Mi Yao over Yao Zhi Gang’s debt. Under pressure, Xu Mi Yao confessed that Lu Zhen Zhen promised to pay 500,000 yuan if she could secretly install spyware on Xu Miyu’s phone.
Meanwhile, Ji Feng secretly followed Lu Zhen Zhen and witnessed Mrs. Wei publicly humiliating her. Only then did he realized that Wei Si Yuan and Lu Zhen Zhen were having a love affair. After comparing their findings, Ji Feng and Xu Miyu finally uncovered the truth.
Dai Hui had been recommended to Purong Hotel by Lu Zhen Zhen. She was arranged to secretly plant the bug inside the flower vase while Xu Miyu was distracted with the scattered amenities.
Xu Mi Yao installed the spyware on Xu Miyu’s phone while pretending to ask for advice about managing the guesthouse. Both Dai Hui and Xu Mi Yao were arranged by Lu Zhen Zhen, who was promised money by Wei Si Yuan. Everything had been arranged by Wei Si Yuan as a part of his deal with Niu Qian Kun.
After she was confronted by Ji Feng and Xu Miyu, Lu Zhen Zhen finally confessed everything. Her motive is the 8-million-yuan reward from Wei Si Yuan. She needed it secure the future of her child. It was also revealed that Nie Quan, Lu Zhen Zhen’s child, turned out to be Wei Si Yuan’s biological child.
Ji Feng and Xu Miyu then work together with Xue Rui and Mrs. Wei to brong Wei Si Yuan down. Xue Rui secretly hacked into Wei Si Yuan’s computer and plant a recorder in Wei Si Yuan’s office.
Later, Xu Miyu met Mrs. Wei and exposed the affair between Wei Si Yuan and Lu Zhen Zhen. She showed her the DNA test result that showed Wei Si Yuan is the father of Lu Zhen Zhen’s baby.
She even played a recording of the two discussing plans to run away together, leaving Mrs. Wei furious. Xu Miyu then persuaded Mrs. Wei to take action against her husband.
Later, Ji Feng openly confronted Wei Si Yuan in his office. Wei Si Yuan arrogantly claimed that Xu Miyu would never escape punishment just because the footage was gone. He believed that he would find more evidence, enough to make her fired.
But his confidence disappeared the moment Ji Feng played a recording of her spoke to his wife. In that recording, Wei Si Yuan exposed his own dealings with Niu Qian Kun, the tapping scheme, and his dealings with Lu Zhen Zhen. Before he recovered from the shock, the investigation team and Wei Wan Jun arrived. Wei Si Yuan was arrested by the police.
Ji Feng returned as Purong Hotel’s General Manager. The bidding event finally ended successfully. With only two weeks left before the VAM agreement deadline, Ji Feng managed to secure a long-term deal with the Liberty Group. Purong Hotel’s profit eventually exceeded 30%, saving the hotel from Kuanli’s acquisition.
After the crisis ended, Ji Feng and Xue Rui reflected on their lives. Ji Feng, who had always ready for the next destination, finally decided to settle down in Purong.
Meanwhile, Xue Rui chose to leave the hotel and challenge himself once again. The one who always wander chose stability, while the one who always stay in his comfort zone realized that he has more choices in life.
As for Xu Miyu, she decided to continue her studies abroad. She wanted to learn more about hotel management and was accepted into EHL, the same school Ji Feng used to study.
Although heartbroken by their separation, Ji Feng still supported her completely and promised to wait for her. In the end, Xu Miyu finally realized that a good relationship is about helping each other become a better person.
What Happened to Tan Ji Zhou on The Epoch of Miyu Ending?
Tan Ji Zhou is interested to Xu Miyu’s idea of holding an art exhibition in Purong Hotel. However, when he brought up the idea, Lin Nan Xing as his CFO, immediately rejected it. She was furious because moving the exhibition from Hong Kong to Shanghai was risky and would cost them a huge penalty fee.
But after seeing the venue proposal prepared by Xu Miyu and realizing they could save a lot of money, she finally relented. Well, it also because Tan Ji Zhou said he was willing to accept the losses himself.
During the press conference, Tan Ji Zhou explained that the exhibition represented his 30-year artistic journey, and the masterpiece of this exhibition is a beautiful painting called Years. He also praises Purong Hotel for supporting his art exhibition.
Unfortunately, three hours before the opening ceremony, Years suddenly disappeared from the wall. Li Nan Xing immediately became furious at Xu Miyu, who’s in charge in the event. She urged Tan Ji Zhou to postpone the event, but he refused.
Li Nan Xing reminded him that they already lost two million yuan in penalties just to move the exhibition to Purong hotel. Tan Ji Zhou comforted the paled Xu Miyu, he promised to persuade Li Nan Xing and told her not to worry. Xu Miyu suggested to replace Years with another painting as the backup plan, Tan Ji Zhou agreed. Xu Miyu personally went to retrieve the painting, while, Tan Ji Zhou led the media to the exhibition hall.
Just as they arrived at the spot where Years should have been displayed, Ji Feng surprised them by revealing the missing painting himself. Tan Ji Zhou and Li Nan Xing were instantly relieved.
Later, Ji Feng personally apologized for the incident. Tan Ji Zhou didn’t pursue the matter further, but he warned Ji Feng not to disappoint Xu Miyu because she did everything she could to help him fulfil the VAM agreement.
That night, Tan Ji Zhou hold a small banquet to thank all the people who helped him. He personally thanked Xu Miyu and openly hug her on the stage. From the side, Ji Feng watched the scene with troubled expression.
Later, Xu Miyu was accused of wiretapping. Tan Ji Zhou visited her and asked her to leave for Hong Kong with him. He said that he didn’t want her to face dangers and wanted to protect her. However, his words reminded her of Nie Yun Cheng.
Xu Miyu realized she no longer wanted a relationship where she has to depend completely on another person. So she rejected him, and Tan Ji Zhou respect her decision. He also told her about Ji Feng’s dismissal.
After returning home, Tan Ji Zhou finally decided to let go all his feelings for Xu Miyu and return to Hong Kong. Before he left, he visited the café to see his grandfather perform on stage.
He also retuned the Four-Season Art Exhibition brochure he had kept all this time to Xu Miyu and quietly asked for a hug. Xu Miyu gladly embraced him, and that became their final goodbye.
What Happened to Lu Zhen Zhen on The Epoch of Miyu Ending?
Lu Zhen Zhen returned to work after finished her maternity leave. She was surprised that Xu Miyu had joined the sales department and become a Business Manager. When Xu Miyu was close the securing a deal with Lubot Company, she tried to sabotage it.
Lu Zhen Zhen secretly worked with Duan Ao Xiang, who wanted to snatch the deal for Kuanli. However, their plan failed after Xu Miyu successfully close the deal during a business gathering the night before. Duang Ao Xiang was furious and scolded Lu Zhen Zhen harshly.
Later Lu Zhen Zhen teamed up with Qian Kun to sabotage Tan Ji Zhou’s art exhibition. Since she managed the internal cooperation, it was easy for her to arrange for someone to sneak into the storage room and steal the masterpiece, Years.
However, things didn’t go as planned. The plan failed. As a result, both Qian Kun and Huang Cheng Min were fired.
At the same time, Nie Yu Cheng had to undergo a major surgery. But Lu Zhen Zhen only visited him to demand a divorce. Nie Yu Cheng agreed after realizing she never truly cared for him.
More surprise came when Nie Yu Cheng’s mother tried to take away the baby from her. Lu Zhen Zhen coldly revealed that baby was never Nie Yu Cheng’s son. The child’s real father surprisingly was Wei Si Yuan.
Even Wei Si Yuan was stunned because he believed Lu Zhen Zhen already aborted the baby. Lu Zhen Zhen told him that she didn’t came to get her son to be acknowledged by him.

Afterward, Lu Zhen Zhen agreed to help Wei Si Yuan framed Xu Miyu in the wiretapping case for 8-million-yuan reward. But the bug was discovered earlier than expected. When she demanded the money, Wei Si Yuan dismissed her.
Soon after, Lu Zhen Zhen was publicly humiliated by Wei Si Yuan’s wife. Mrs. Wei threatened to have her kicked out from Purong. Furious, Lu Zhen Zhen confronted Wei Si Yuan and demanded her reward money. But he calmed her down with empty promises. And once again, she failed to get the money.
After Ji Feng and Xu Miyu confronted her with solid proof of her involvement in the wiretapping matter, Lu Zhen Zhen finally confessed everything. She admitted she needed the money to buy an apartment in Shanghai and secure a future for her child. She also revealed that Nie Quan was Wei Si Yuan’s biological son.
Because of her crimes, Lu Zhen Zhen was fired from the hotel. On her last day, she met Xu Miyu at the elevator and accused her of being a hypocrite who secretly took everything while pretending to be kind.
Lu Zhen Zhen insisted that she relied on herself to change her fate and she had done anything wrong. But Xu Miyu calmly said that everything she achieved came from hard work, while Lu Zhen Zhen chose shortcuts. Xu Miyu warned her that those underhanded methods of hers will eventually bite her back.
Xu Miyu’s words reminded of Lu Zhen Zhen of what her mother told her fifteen years ago. She told Lu Zhen Zhen to become stronger, climb higher, fight and grab everything she wanted, and make those who looked down on her regret it.
So the young Lu Zhen Zhen vowed to become rich and have her own home where nobody could drive her away again. But in the end, because of her own choices, Lu Zhen Zhen was arrested by the police and faces criminal charges of wiretapping. Only then she realized that perhaps her mother’s words had been wrong all along.
What Happened to Wei Si Yuan on The Epoch of Miyu Ending?
Seeing the constant growth of the profit increase made Wei Si Yuan anxious. He feared that Ji Feng would soon fulfil the 30% profit increase requirement in the VAM agreement.
He oredered Qian Yu to interfere and stop Ji Feng from succeeding. Soon, many events were suddenly cancelled, and their clients were stolen by Kuanli.
When Xu Miyu managed to secure Tan Ji Zhou’s art exhibition deal, Wei Si Yuan feared this event could help Ji Feng succeed. So, Wei Si Yuan, Huang Cheng Min, and Qian Kun began planning how to force Ji Feng out of the hotel.
Qian Kun propose stealing the masterpiece painting from Tan Ji Zhou’s exhibition. Although Wei Si Yuan feel that their plan was risky, they believe could pull it off.
Qiang Kun and Lu Zhen Zhen hide the painting, tampered the surveillance cameras, and even hired fake reporters to create a fake news. Their goal was simple: to blame Ji Feng for his negligence and ruin his reputation. And so, Wei Si Yuan, Qian Kun, and Huang Cheng Min eagerly waited for the plan to unfold.
But, everything failed. Ji Feng managed to take the masterpiece back and even obtained a confession from their accomplice. Wei Si Yuan immediately shift the blame to Qian Kun and Huang Cheng Min to save himself. As a result, Qian Kun and Huang Cheng Ming were fired from the hotel.
Wei Si Yuan visited his aunt, Wei Wen Jun, hoping for her support. Instead, she harshly criticized him. Wei Wen Jun already knew about all his underhanded business dealings and called him outdated, narrow minded, and old fashioned. However, Wei Si Yuan stubbornly refused to believe he had done anything wrong.
After losing his allies, Wei Si Yuan promoted Lu Zhen Zhen to be a Deputy Director of the Sales Department after she threatened him with their affair baby. As the highly anticipated Yuntian Group Bidding event began at the hotel, representative form major companies gathered to compete, including the notorious Jinkun Group.
Its CEO, Niu Qian Kun the CEO of Jinkun paid Wei Si Yuan twenty million yuan to plant a bugging device in Marcus Yang’s room so he could defeat him on the bidding. Wei Si Yuan then asked Lu Zhen Zhen to carry out the task for eight million yuan and another promotion.
Unfortunately, the hotel security discovered the device hidden inside the silk flower vase that Xu Miyu personally delivered to the room. And it wasn’t only that, a spyware connected to the device also found on her phone.
Although the framing plan technically worked, Niu Qian Kun never obtained any useful information from Marcus Yang because the device was discovered earlier than expected. Wei Si Yuan reassured him that everything would still be fine because he has a scapegoat.
After Ji Feng’s impulsively deleted the surveillance footage to protect Xu Miyu, he was fired from the hotel and Wei Si Yuan finally become the Purong Hotel’s General Manager. Wanting to get rid of Lu Zhen Zhen as well, he arranged his wife to know about their affair. Mrs.
Wei confronted Lu Zhen Zhen and threatened to throw her out of Purong Hotel. Wei Si Yuan later comforted Lu Zhen Zhen with empty promises, saying he will take her and the baby away and lived a happy life as a family after Kuanli successfully acquired the hotel.
What Wei Si Yuan didn’t know that his conversation will be heard by his wife after Xue Rui plant a bugging device in his office. Mrs. Wei got furious and decided to punish the adulterous couple by recording her conversation with Wei Si Yuan.
She deliberately tricked him into talking aout his deal with Niu Qian Kun, the reward money, the wiretapping scheme, and even Lu Zhen Zhen. The recording was used by Ji Feng to confront him openly. He also sent it to investigation team and also Wei Wan Jun who later called the police to arrest Wei Si Yuan.
What Happened to Nie Yu Cheng on The Epoch of Miyu Ending?
Nie Yu Cheng learned that the pain in his stomach was caused by cancerous tumour. But what hurt him the most was Lu Zhen Zhen’s indifference towards his illness. While his condition worsened, she remained too busy with work to care for him. Even during a major surgery, only his mother stayed by his side.
When Lu Zhen Zhen finally visited him at the ward, she didn’t come to comfort him. Instead, she handed him divorce papers.
Nie Yu Cheng realized that she never cared about him, so he agreed to the divorce. Soon after, another shocking truth was revealed. Nie Quan was never his child.
The doctor revealed that Nie Yu Cheng’s semen contained no living sperm, meaning he had been the one struggling with infertility throughout his ten years marriage with Xu Miyu. The truth shattered him completely.
Nie Yu Cheng refused treatment and medication. He even refused to eat. His mother even begged Xu Miyu to persuade him. although Xu Miyu eventually came to the hospital, she turned away without saying a word.
In the end, after hearing about Xu Miyu’s troubles, Nie Yu Cheng visited her and give her important clue. He once overheard Lu Zhen Zhen speaking with Xu Miyu’ sister on the phone. That information eventually helped Xu Miyu uncover the truth behind the wiretapping case.
My Musing
Okay, I was hoping for a happier ending instead this bittersweet closure. And I couldn’t help comparing this drama with Zhang Ling He and Xu Ruo Han’s The Best Thing because, just like Xu Miyu, Shen Xi Fan also went abroad to pursue her study in hospitality.
But what I love about The Best Thing was how it gave a good and satisfying ending for me, a romance junkie. However, perhaps this kind of ending is more suitable for mature adults who have experienced heartbreak, disappointment, and betrayal in real life.
