What Happened to Wei Zhi

After the Demon Queen disappeared, Wei Zhi and Yan Yue reclaimed their position as the saintess and Demon Lord of the Demon realm. The four guards of the Demon realm also return to their post. Lan Su and Ou Ya were present as well. All of them were happy that the Demon realm would thrive once again.

Wei Zhi and Yan Yue promised that they would never leave the Demon realm as long as the peace between the three realms could be maintained. Taking a chance on the momentum, Yan Yue proposed to Wei Zhi once again. This time he said that he asked Wei Zhi to marry her not as Chen Yan or the Demon Lord, but as Yan Yue. Wei Zhi happily agreed. Yan Luo who witnessed the proposal was relieved and felt happy for his brother.

Wei Zhi and Yan Yue held a wedding ceremony. After the ceremony, they announced their plan to live in seclusion due to the Phoenix’s identity. The Heavenly Empress suddenly appeared to find Yan Yue. She told him that his father was in his dying breath. She begged Yan Yue to return and see his father for the last time. Wei Zhi urged Yan Yue to go and fulfill his filial duty.

However, Yan Yue returned to the Demon realm with a change of attitude. He wanted to bring Wei Zhi to Heaven and crowned her as the new Heavenly Empress. Yan Yue’s cold and distant demeanor made Wei Zhi feel uneasy. Especially when he wanted the Demon realm to submit to the Heavenly realm and planned to have his demonic power removed. Wei Zhi was confused by Yan Yue’s oddity. She thought that someone must have controlled his mind.

The Heavenly Emperor chased Wei Zhi after she witnessed him kill Yan Luo but Elder Mu took her away. Elder Mu told Wei Zhi that only Hua Rong could solve her problem. It was the purest thing in the three realms that could eliminate evil power. When Wei Zhi went to the Devil’s realm, she found the dying Lan Su. Thus, she decided to take action.

Wei Zhi led the Demon and Devil realms soldiers to fight the Heavenly realm. When Wei Zhi and Yan Yue stood face to face, she called him The Heavenly Emperor. Wei Zhi was able to guess the truth because only the late Heavenly Emperor wanted to drag the three realms into war. Wei Zhi had prepared to save the Demon realm and Human realm beforehand by putting on barriers to protect the people.

Wei Zhi used her real form as the Phoenix to defeat the Heavenly Emperor, but he was still more powerful than her. She got her chance after the Heavenly Empress manipulate the time and cause some disturbance inside the Emperor’s mind. She release Hua Rong from her body and sent it into Yan Yue’s.

According to Elder Mu, the only thing that could solve her problem and save Yan Yue was the flower. Yet, if she did that, then Phoenix would die. Wei Zhi dared to take the risk because it was worth it.

When she opened her eyes, Wei Zhi saw Yan Yue had returned to his own body. He told her to wait for him and released Hua Rong from his mind. It flew back to the time dust and everything that happened between them was reversed to the wedding night of Sima Wangyue and Chen Yan.

What Happened to Yan Yue?

Yan Yue started to gain his memories after he protect Wei Zhi from the Demon Queen’s attack.

Unexpectedly, the attack destroyed the curse and made him remember everything. It was revealed that the Demon Queen was Yan Yue’s medicinal jade that transformed into a human body. The jade absorb Yan Yue’s yearning for Wei Zhi and was touched by it.

Therefore, she deliberately used Wei Zhi’s appearance to replace her. The small part of the medicinal jade transforms into their so-called son, Xiaomo. The Demon Queen realized that she was delusional and they changed back into jades.

Yan Yue and Wei Zhi returned as the ruler of the Demon realm. Although they did not originate from the Demon realm, they feel that they finally found their place there. Yan Luo came to the Demon realm to talk about peace.

The people in Heaven were anxious when they heard that the Phoenix has returned and teamed up with Yan Yue, the newly appointed Demon Lord. Yan Luo and Yan Yue made an oath to keep the peace between the three realms. Yan Yue promised that he and Wei Zhi would not step out of the Demon realm for good.

When Yan Yue went back to the Heavenly realm, his father ordered him to take the heavenly throne. As the new Heavenly Emperor, Yan Yue must be responsible to keep the peaceful life of the three realms. Therefore, he must kill the Phoenix that threatens the realms.

Yan Yue refused and said he would protect his wife wholeheartedly. The Emperor was enraged and used magic to possess Yan Yue’s body. Thus he left the room and announced that the Heavenly Emperor had passed away.

Deep down inside his consciousness, Yan Yue struggled to take his body back but failed. Yan Yue was bound by his mother’s primordial power. Only after Wei Zhi released the Hua Rong to save him, Yan Yue could regain his body and mind. When he opened his eyes, Yan Yue saw Wei Zhi smiling brightly at him before she collapsed.

Six months later, Yi’er ascended as the new ruler of the Heavenly realm. Meanwhile, Yan Yue and Wei Zhi disappeared after the great war.

What Happened to The Heavenly Emperor?

The Heavenly Emperor found out that Yan Yue had become a demon because he receive Mu Nan’s power. Meanwhile, Wei Zhi had become a true Phoenix after Hua Rong merged into her body. He cut their father-son relationship and tried to kill Wei Zhi.

Yan Yue plead for her but the Heavenly Emperor refuse his plea. He attacked his own son while Wei Zhi tried to save Yan Yue. Wei Zhi’s Phoenix power exploded and the three of them were thrown into space.

A year later, the Emperor went into a deep slumber. The Heavenly Empress often channeled her power to keep him alive. Slowly his five senses worked and he could hear everything around him.

The Heavenly Empress went to see her husband and tell him that Yan Yue had become the Demon Lord. He and Yan Luo had made an oath to keep a peaceful life between the three realms. The Empress also told her husband that Yan Yue’s decision to marry the Phoenix. As soon as she left the room, the Heavenly Emperor opened his eyes.

The Heavenly Emperor used magic to possess Yan Yue’s body and took back the throne from Yan Luo. He also took Wei Zhi to the Heavenly realm and crowned her as the new Heavenly Empress. The Emperor told Wei Zhi that he wanted the Demon realm to submit to the Heavenly realm and planned to have his demonic power removed.

The Heavenly Emperor now possessed the ability to manipulate time. So he went to time dust and put a powerful seal on it. While he was there, he looked back into his past. It was revealed that Heavenly Empress Xi Cai was planning to expose the Emperor’s plan towards the Phoenix.

The Emperor wanted to imprison Phoenix and steal its power to achieve immortality. He did not want anybody to hinder his plan, so the Emperor killed Xi Cai. Then he announced that Phoenix had broken the barrier and brought misery to the people. He also told the world that Xi Cai had sacrificed herself to fix the barrier.

Yan Luo found out that their father had possessed his brother’s body. He tried to persuade him but failed. The Heavenly Emperor killed Yan Luo and chased Wei Zhi but Elder Mu save her. Thus he went to Heavenly Empress and said that Wei Zhi had killed Yan Luo and fled back to the Demon realm.

The Empress and Yi’er found out the truth when she went to see the time dust. They saw how the Emperor possessed Yan Yue’s body and kill Yan Luo. The Empress’s hair turned white and Yi’er was sick because they violated the heaven’s rule. She sent Yi’er to the mortal realm for safety. When the Emperor came, she revealed that she knew everything he did.

The Heavenly Emperor was obsessed with the power of Phoenix that came from Hua Rong. The flower was a divine object that could change immortality into divinity. The Empress saw that she could not stop the Emperor, so she sent herself into the time dust and disappear.

The Empress use her power to manipulate the past when the Emperor almost killed Xi Cai. Her action created a disturbance inside the Emperor’s mind. At the same time, Wei Zhi released the Hua Rong and sent it into Yan Yue’s body. The Hua Rong destroyed the Emperor and the seal that bind Yan Yue. When the Heavenly Emperor disappeared, Yan Yue regain his body and mind.

What Happened to Mu Nan and Yi’er?

Mu Nan was shocked when he sensed that Wei Zhi was pregnant. The unborn baby carried the blood of Phoenix, Immortal, and had the spiritual powers of human, demon, and beast. The baby would drain Wei Zhi’s spiritual power. Thus, Mu Nan gave her some of his power every day.

Wei Zhi saw that Mu Nan’s good intention was not directed at her or the Phoenix. Mu Nan’s care was always intended for Sima Wangyue. So Wei Zhi told him that she was not Sima Wangyue and could not afford to replace her. Wei Zhi hoped Mu Nan would find a new life.

Mu Nan went to find Yan Yue to tell him about Wei Zhi’s pregnancy and asked for Hua Rong. The flower was their last resort for her health. Or else, Wei Zhi would die the moment her baby was born. But Yan Yue was punished by the Heavenly Emperor because he let Phoenix live. Yan Yue use all means to take back Hua Rong and went to the Demon realm.

When Mu Nan channeled his power to merge Hua Rong into Wei Zhi’s body, Wei Lingyue appeared. Yan Yue fought her but failed because she possessed the Heavenly Emperor’s power. Mu Nan used his primordial power to fight Wei Lingyue. In his dying breath, Mu Nan give the remaining of his power to Yan Yue, so he could live and helped Wei Zhi.

Yi’er begged Mu Nan to live on, but he was too tired to live. He gave her a book of the Demon realm’s food guide. He wrote it for her, so she would not mistakenly eat poisonous food anymore. Mu Nan died shortly afterward.

Yi’er was devastated. She tried to use all means to stop the yearning. She went to Yingzhou and plow the land and made herself drunk. But none of them worked. So she tried to sneak into the Time Dust to see Mu Nan. The Heavenly Empress caught her and punished her.

The Heavenly Empress learned that Yan Yue had been found by Yi’er. He was in the Demon realm and had become their ruler. Yi’er begged her aunt to let her go to the Demon realm. The Empress agreed and let her leave. During her stay in the Demon realm, Yi’er reminiscences her past with Mu Nan. This time she was not alone. Qing Huan, who secretly harbor romantic feelings for Yi’er, accompanied her in silence.

After the death of the Heavenly Emperor and Empress, Yi’er was the only royal family who survived. Thus, she was crowned to be the new ruler of the Heavenly realm. She create a joint governance between the three realms so that peace could be maintained forever.

What Happened to Ou Ya and Lan Su?

Ou Ya and Lan Su was the one who took care of Wei Zhi and her phoenix egg. When they saw the light disappear from the egg, they got anxious. They took the egg and went to find Wei Zhi. Unexpectedly, Lan Su was captured by the Demon Queen, and the egg was taken from her.

Yan Yue went to ask Lan Su ad asked the truth. Lan Su told him everything. From his identity as the God of Red Sun, her love for Phoenix, and the reason why he ended up alone in the Demon realm.

Soon after Yan Yue and Wei Zhi returned to be the Demon realm’s rulers, Ou Ya and Lan Su also returned to the Devil realm. Lan Su got pregnant and they lived a good life, bickering as always. Until the Heavenly Emperor (in the form of Yan Yue) came into the Devil’s realms to destroy the Phoenix egg. The egg was saved but Lan Su died. In her dying breath, she comforted Wei Zhi and told Ou Ya to always stand by Wei Zhi’s side.

The Devil King handed over the power of the Devil’s realm to Ou Ya. He joined Wei Zhi and the Demon realm to fight the Heavenly realm. Ou Ya was severely injured in the war. And after the war was over, Ou Ya remained as the Devil’s realm’s ruler. Yet, he still missed Lan Su greatly.

What Happened to Wei Lingyue?

Wei Lingyue, the peacock goddess, plead loyalty to the Imperial Advisor and stood alongside him when he attacked Gu City. Wei Lingyue believed that after she destroyed Gu City, Wei Zhi would show up so she could defeat her.

On the day she arrived at Gu City, Wei Zhi showed up and fought her. But Wei Zhi was not in good condition and fainted right after she used her power to suppress Wei Lingyue. Wei Zhi’s friend from Egret Academy helped and took her to Mrs. Gu. The Imperial Advisor attacked Gu City while Wei Lingyue looked for Wei Zhi.

She attacked Mrs. Gu and Wei Ye and made them faint. Wei Zhi was angry and when Wei Lingyue launch another strike, Mrs. Gu protect her daughter. Mrs. Gu died on Wei Zhi’s arm. Looking at her dead mother and realizing that she had secretly protected her made Wei Zhi lose control. She released her Phoenix Fire and burn down Gu City. However, Wei Lingyue survived.

The Heavenly Emperor gave Wei Lingyue some of his power so she could kill the Phoenix. So Wei Lingyue came to the demon realm to fight Wei Zhi once again. At the moment, Wei Zhi was in an unconscious condition and was protected by Mu Nan and Yan Yue. Wei Lingyue died at the hand of Mu Nan.

What Happened to The Imperial Advisor?

This evil man died because of the Phoenix Fire. He promoted Wei Lingyue as a peacock Goddess to the Emperor. The Imperial Advisor made the Human Emperor believed that Peacock brought good luck to the kingdom while the Phoenix would bring disaster.

And the Human Emperor believes in him. He let the Imperial Advisor take Wei Lingyue and Wei Jingyue (now his concubine) to attack Gu City. However, the Imperial Advisor died after Wei Zhi release a massive fire to kill Wei Lingyue.

My Two Cents

I guess the Heavenly Empress deliberately changed the past when the Heavenly Emperor almost kill Xi Cai. If Xi Cai did not die, then she could stop the Heavenly Emperor’s obsession. Yet, it means the Empress would not marry the Emperor and Yan Luo would never born.

And Yan Yue sent the Hua Rong back into the time dust because he wanted to reverse their time. The Hua Rong stopped at the wedding night and destroyed Chen Yan’s intention to betray the army. Therefore, Sima Wangyue would not die at Yan Yue’s hand.
