What Happened in Fourth Loop Day on Mobius Ending?
During the fourth loop, Ding Qi collected important information for the case. Jian Yu Wen, Mo Yuan Zhi’s former mentor who was believed to have died eight years ago, was alive. The explosion in the lab was orchestrated by him.
They suspected that Jiang Yu Wen might be the Squid. Ding Qi also discovered that Tang Xin and Maggie were half-sisters. Surprisingly, their father is the missing Jiang Yu Wen.
Yu Shi Ya has followed Mo Yuan Zhi to his secret lab and found his secret. Frightened, she decided not to vote against him. However, this made Han Yu Fei angry. He demanded the passcode to the secret lab from Yu Shi Ya.
Threatened by him, Yu Shi Ya has no choice but to comply. Later, Han Yu Fei also gave the video to Ding Qi after he revealed that the police also investigating the death of Han Song as well.
Meanwhile, An Lan secretly administered medicine to her mother. The doctor found out and reminded her that the consequences would be dire. He referred to an informal case involving an anonymous patient who had a stage IV spinal tumor. An Lan guessed that the patient is Feng Wan Qing, who had disappeared eight years ago.
At that time, Fen Wan Qing’s medical record showed that she has miraculously recovered from her terminal illness. However, not long after, she disappeared. An Lan then went to the small hospital where Feng Wan Qing used to stay, only to find that it had become an abandoned building.
Feng Lu, who followed An Lan, reported to Ding Qi. Soon after, another report came. Ye Kun was missing from his apartment. Ding Qi’s intuition told him that An Lan was in danger. He rushed into the hospital to save her.
Ye Kun went to the hospital intending to destroy it. He didn’t expect to see An Lan there. He was also shocked to learn that An Lan was looking for his sister. Yes, Ye Kun’s real name is Feng Qi Ming. He is Feng Wan Qing’s younger brother.
Ye Kun and Ding Qi got into a fight. Ye Kun died after being fatally shot by Fang Lu, who came to help Ding Qi. An Lan found the room where Feng Wan Qing used to stay, as well as her diary.
On the way back to the city, An Lan told Ding Qi what happened to Feng Wan Qing eight years ago. She and the other patients at the Mourn Vale Medical Centre illegally became the human subjects in a drug experiment.
The drug was supposed to still be in the animal testing phase. In her diary, Feng Wan Qing said that the world keeps on repeating and that the pain was unbearable. From her words, Ding Qi realized that Feng Wan Qing had been experiencing time loops.
The police found that someone had placed a tracker on An Lan’s car and that someone from Moma had recently communicated with Ye Kun. Ding Qi realized that, aside from blowing up the hospital, that someone was targeting An Lan.
Ding Qi decided to reveal his secret to An Lan. Unexpectedly, she realized that his information was aligned with her experiment with RN365, a lab mouse with abnormal behaviour. The mouse seemed to have a foreknowledge of things its fellow mice did not.
Can you imagine that An Lan has a small room in her house that resembles a biology lab filled with mice? 🤨
An Lan suspected that Ding Qi had been exposed to the RAN drug. It might have been in the lake water when he first experienced the first-time loop. This made sense because the lake was located near Ivy Bay University, where the RAN experiment was conducted. That night, Ding Qi also found out that he might died early because of the drug.
Later that night, while Mo Yuan Zhi and the other Moma executives were at the wedding, Ding Qi and An Lan entered the secret lab. They discovered that Mo Yuan Zhi was a time loop perceiver and, surprisingly, the Squid.
They also discovered another secret compartment contained his darkest secret, Feng Wan Qing’s body inside a nitrogen container.
Their action triggered a warning, and a notification was sent to Mo Yuan Zhi’s phone. Without hesitation, he chose to destroy the lab, including Ding Qi and An Lan. Trapped and nearly dying, An Lan decided to kiss Ding Qi.
What Happened in the Fifth Loop Day on Mobius Ending?
All become clear in the fifth loop. Mo Yuan Zhi is the Squid. He pretended to be threatened to divert suspicion and keep the police at bay. He did it after Ye Kun discovered that the police had already connected Tan Shao Rong’s death to Han Song’s case.
Ding Qi now knows that Mon Yuan Zhi is his biggest enemy and prepared for the last battle. However, he felt something wrong with his heart.
Mo Yuan Zhi’s first target is An Lan. While he drove straight to Moma to take care of An Lan, he sent Ye Kun to kill Mrs. An. Luckily, Ding Qi had made early preparations.
An Lan followed Ding Qi’s instructions to leave the building immediately. She used the fire exit instead of the elevator. She is safe. Ding Qi and An Lan were both relieved when they saw each other.
Then, Ding Qi realized that Ye Kun’s target is Mrs. An. So he went to the hospital to arrest Ye Kun. Mo Yuan Zhi thought that everything was fine because Ding Qi had sent him a message pretending to be Ye Kun.
Ding Qi openly opposing Mo Yuan Zhi. During a tense conversation, Ding Qi told Mo Yuan Zhi that he was free from his suspicion because he died in the first loop. However, Mo Yuan Zhi used the second loop to find the person who set the bomb that kill him.
In the third loop, Mo Yuan Zhi accidentally discovered that Ding Qi was a time loop perceiver after he overheard conversation between An Lan and Ding Qi about the highway accident.
In this fifth loop. An Lan and Ye Kun didn’t go to the abandoned hospital. Ding Qi sent the police to go there and they found Feng Wan Qing’s diary. An Lan showed it to Ye Kun. However, he insisted that he was the Squid and said that didn’t know Mo Yuan Zhi. He only reacted when An Lan said that Feng Wan Qing only has 28 days left. But, Duan Zheng was already taking An Lan out of the room.
Jiang Yu Wen, who has been aging rapidly, finally appeared. He contacted Tang Xin and warned her that she is no match for Mo Yuan Zhi. Jiang Yu Wen knew about all Mo Yuan Zhi’s evil deeds. But he chose to ignore them because he needed Mo Yuan Zhi’s expertise to find cures for his rapid aging.
Mo Yuan Zhi was running out of time. Feng Wan Qing had only 28 days left, and his eye condition was worsening. To stop Ding Qi, Mo Yuan Zhi submitted a complaint to the CIB. The moment Maggie arrived at the building, the chief cancelled Ding Qi’s protection assignment. With the help of the entire team, Ding Qi managed to escape and return to Moma just in time to save Maggie.
Meanwhile, An Lan found out some things that she had overlooked in the drug development process. Using the hospital’s laboratory, she continued her research and administered the drug to her mother. It worked. She asked Ding Qi about the side effects he experienced and promised to find a cure. An Lan found herself crying at the thought of Ding Qi’s sudden death.
Mo Yuan Zhi’s next target is Maggie and Tang Xin. When he saw Tang Xin leave the building, he sedated her and put her in the trunk of a car. Unexpectedly, Han Yu Fei saw him and tried to blackmail Mo Yuan Zhi. In the end, Han Yu Fei was also knocked unconscious and put in the truck.
Mo Yuan Zhi targeted Tang Xin and Maggie because he realized it was Jiang Yu Wen who tried to kill him. He also knew that Maggie was coming to Moma to steal the RAN’s data.
Knowing that Jiang Yu Wen was also experiencing the side effects, Mo Yuan Zhi decided to obtain Jiang Yu Wen’s data. He planned to create a new drug to stop the side effects and cure Feng Wan Qing.
To get Jiang Yu Wen, Mo Yuan Zhi used his daughters as leverage. Having no choice, Jian Yu Wen agreed to meet Mo Yuan Zhi, but he equipped himself with a time bomb.
Duan Zheng sent police officers to raid Jiang Yu Wen’s apartment. They found he has been making bomb. After listening to the report, Duan Zheng evacuates the Moma building to avoid casualties.
Jiang Yu Wen’s bomb is a pulse activated. The more agitated he become, the faster it exploded. When Ding Qi found them, Mo Yuan Zhi fled immediately. Ding Qi has to calm Jiang Yu Wen down before he could chase him.
Fortunately, Maggie, Tang Xin, and Han Yu Fei were already safe and sound. Jiang Yu Wen calmed down after hearing his daughter’s voice. He was soon arrested by the police.
Ding Qi found Mo Yuan Zhi at the helipad. He fired a warning shot into the air, prompting the pilot to cancel the landing. Mo Yuan Zhi was furious. They fought fiercely.
Ding Qi almost won, but then he felt a sudden pain in his heart. As he was about to pass out, he managed to put on the handcuff himself to Mo Yuan Zhi. Just as he almost cut Ding Qi’s hand with a knife, Duan Zheng and the squad arrived. Fang Lu shot Mo Yuan Zhi’s hand to stop him.
However, Ding Qi’s heart had already stopped. Duan Zheng tried to perform CPR on him while the rest of the squad cried.
Later, Ding Qi woke up in a hospital bed. Duan Zheng said that it was An Lan’s drug that pulled him through. Soon, the squad arrived, and behind them was An Lan.
Once he completely recovered, Ding Qi took An Lan to the lake where it all began. He planned to take another injection to stop the effect of the RAN drug. An Lan asked if he would regret losing his ability to perceive the time loops. But for Ding Qi, that was enough. He could give up everything to be with her.
Soon, fireworks lit up the night. He then told An Lan that during the fourth loop, she had kissed him. An Lan was surprised, but before she could react, he kissed her. An Lan accepted it without hesitation. Meanwhile, in the prison, Mo Yuan Zhi suffered from intense pain that he needed a painkiller shot.
When he returned to the police station, Ding Qi was still dazed. Ze Kai noticed his reddened lips, and the squad quickly surrounded him. The faint trace of perfume on his clothes and the smell of fireworks gave him away.
In an instant, they began teasing him. Ding Qi tried to brush them off, but he ended up hiding away in embarrassment. Too shy to face them all.
The day went back to normal. Tang Xin, Yu Shi Ya, and Ha Yu Fei started their day at Moma as usual. And the squad ended their day by celebrating their success in handling the Squid case.
Who would have known that it was another day in the loop? When Ding Qi opened his eyes, he found himself kissing An Lan while the fireworks lit up the night. At the same time, far away from them, Mo Yuan Zhi had just sedated the doctor who was about to inject him with a tranquilizer.
Did Ding Qi receive the injection and lose his super ability? That’s the mystery.
What Really Happened in the Past
It all started eight years ago. An Lan’s best friend, Feng Wan Qing, was a terminally ill patient who participated in a drug trial. The people behind the illegal experiment were Jiang Yu Wen and Mo Yuan Zhi. Everything went well and as per their agreement, RAN data were split between the two.
However, their conflict began with Feng Wan Qing. When they needed a human test subject, Jiang Yu Wen wanted to use her. Mo Yuan Zhi refused because he already fallen in love with her and knew that it was dangerous. Nevertheless, Jiang Yu Wen convinced him.
Later, Jiang Yu Wen secretly administered the drug to Feng Wan Qing. Then, her condition worsened and she died. Mo Yuan Zhi hated Jiang Yu Wen for this and tried to kill him.
However, at that time Jiang Yu Wen was already a time loop perceiver. He had used himself as a test subject and carelessly dump the remaining drug to the sink, which eventually ended up in the lake.
But after experiencing several deaths and realized that his life was at stake because of Mo Yuan Zhi, Jiang Yu Wen decided to fake his death and disappear with the data.
You Yu Xiang targeted Mo Yuan Zhi because he witnessed Mo Yuan Zhi stabbed Jiang Yu Wen to death. You Yu Xiang might not a time loop perceiver, but because his illness, he retained some memories of that scene.
Later, Mo Yuan Zhi joined Doma Company alongside Han Song and Tang Shao Rong. He rose to the top and changed the company name to Moma. Mo Yuan Zhi knew that Han Song and Tang Shao Rong were closely tied to Jiang Yu Wen, so he was already wary of them.
As the year went by, Jiang Yu Wen accumulated wealth and founded Volly. However, after his health deteriorated, Jiang Yu Wen contacted Han Song and Tang Shao Rong.
Convinced by jiang Yu Wen, both Han Song and Tang Shao Rong agreed that what Mo Yuan Zhi did was dangerous for the company. They stole Mo Yuan Zhi’s core technology and reported his secret lab to the board of directors. They did it all for Jiang Yu Wen, so he could take over the control of Moma.
In retaliation, Mo Yuan Zhi used Ye Kun to track down Jiang Yu Wen. To convince Ye Kun, Mo Yuan Zhi took him to the secret lab and showed him Feng Wan Qing. He told Ye Kun that Jiang Yu Wen was stealing data that could save Feng Wan Qing and was trying to kill him.
Mo Yuan Zhi eventually convinced Ye Kun to become his killing tool to murder Han Song and Tang Shao Rong. When Jiang Yu Wen found out, he decided to take matters into his own hand and start planning to kill Mo Yuan Zhi himself.
