Oh my God… it’s Zhou Yi Wei dear readers!! After Zhou Yi Wei act in 2021’s The Rebel Princess drama (you can read the review at Rebel Princess drama review), with the one and only Zhang Zi Yi, he took a break from taking any roles in drama series. And now Zhao Yi Wei made a comeback with the much anticipated drama, Judge Dee’s Mystery, as the main role Di Ren Jie/Huaiying.
This drama was an adaptation of the novel series “Judge Dee” by Robert Van Gulik. We watched several episodes and we were captivated almost immediately. This Chinese drama release in February 2024 should definitely be on your watch list.
It tells the story of Di Ren Jie, a young man with exceptional observation skills and the ability to solve crimes. After being relegated to a remote town in the east of the county due to a government reshuffle during the reign of Wu Zetian, Di Ren Jie was immediately involved in several cases.
To solve them, Di Ren Jie embarks on a nationwide journey to solve more mysterious cases. Di Ren Jie returned to his roots in Chang’an and reunited with his father. Together, they tackled a crisis that threatened the peace and order of the country.

Always on The Move appears to be a serious drama, but the first episode had us laughing. Bai Jing Ting did a good job as Wang Xin. Together with Ding Yong Dai, they certainly made a good team on screen. This drama is a must-see, so don’t forget to add it on your watch list.
