Xu Zi Lu’s third uncle was killed by Prince Xian because he found out Prince Xian’s secret. After learning of Xu Yu Shan’s death, Xu Zi Lu found a fire lance, Qin State’s secret weapon, hidden in a secret compartment in Xu Yu Shan’s study. Xu Zi Lu was almost caught by Prince Xian hiding behind a cabinet. Realizing that it was a dangerous secret, Xu Zi Lu immediately feared that he would bring disaster to his loved ones.

Xu Zi Lu pretended to be ignorant of the fire lance in front of Prince Xian. However, Prince Xian was already suspicious of him. To protect Ling Se, Xu Zi Lu tried to break up their relationship and drive her away. But Ling Se refused.

To prevent more trouble, Xu Zi Lu went to see Wu Qi and told him that Prince Xian was after him and the people around him. Xu Zi Lu also reminded him that after Xu Yu Shan’s death, Prince Xian would turn to the Wu family. However, Wu Qi said that he had his own plan and told Xu Zi Lu to be wise.

The next day, Wu Qi told Ling Se that Xu Zi Lu drove her away because he wanted to protect her. Ling Se assured Xu Zi Lu that she would never leave him, no matter what. They were husband and wife, so they should share their weal and woe.

To prevent Prince Xian from sabotaging their incense during the competition, Xu Zi Lu and Ling Se asked Wu Qi for help. They gave him Xu’s family incense and told him to bring it to the palace. However, on the appointed day, Wu Qi came and handed over the incense, but claimed that it was the Wu family’s incense. He also reported that Xu Zi Lu and Ling Se had deceived the Empress with their fake marriage.

The Empress came forward and supported them after seeing how sincere Xu Zi Lu and Ling Se were to each other. She also helped Xu Zi Lu and Ling Se with the incense by lending them the palace’s swift horse so that Xu Zi Lu could prepare the incense on time.

Well… the empress is Ping Er’s aunt. So of course she would help Ling Se. 😆

Because of this matter, Xu Zi Lu and Ling Se realized that Wu Qi was siding with Prince Xian. Ping Er came up with the idea of finding evidence of Prince Xian’s collusion with Beiyun State. Only then did Ling Se and the others learn that Prince Xian was smuggling weapons. Xu Zi Lu didn’t want Ling Se and her friends to get involved. But they insisted. So he had no choice but to leave them alone.

Xu Zi Lu, Ling Se and their friends fell into Prince Xian’s trap by following a foreman who sabotaged the incense-making process. Xu Zi Lu was taken to prison because his incense exploded during the ceremony. Prince Xian sealed the Xu Mansion and the shops.

To save Xu Zi Lu, Ling Se went to Prince Xian. She told him to make a deal with her. Ling Se said that she would finish her business with Prince Xian if he could guarantee that Xu Zi Lu wouldn’t be secretly killed in prison. Prince Xian agreed to her terms.

Meanwhile, at the prison, Xu Zi Lu refused to sign the confession letter, and he almost got killed when Prince Xian’s henchman arrived late to deliver the message that Xu Zi Lu was not to be killed at the prison.

Lu Qing Feng went to see Xu Zi Lu in prison. As they talked about the recent situation, Xu Zi Lu remembered the night his carriage had an accident. At that time, he met a mysterious man who seemed to be a secret agent of the Ministry of Justice.

The man was later killed by Prince Xian’s men. Before he died, the mysterious man gave Xu Zi Lu a small box and told him that the box was very important. If he died, Xu Zi Lu must take it to Furong City.

Ling Se and the others planned to find the small box, which was unfortunately left at the Xu Mansion. Ling Se, Tao Mei Li and Fu Ding entered the mansion after Wang Zhu Jue distracted the guards.

Ling Se managed to find the box and the secret letter inside. While it is easy to get into the mansion, it is hard to get out. But with her clever idea and cooperation, Ling Se managed to get the letter out of the mansion.

Prince Xian took Xu Zi Lu to the court where the judge would sentence him to death. No matter how logically Xu Zi Lu defended himself, the judge sided with Prince Xian. It was only after Xu Zi Lu said that Prince Xian had killed a secret agent of the Ministry of Justice that the judge wavered.

Wu Qi suddenly arrived at the court with evidence. He brought the Beiyun people and the fire lances. Wu Qi said that Prince Xian threatened Wu Qi with his family’s life and forced him to smuggle the weapons. Prince Xian’s guard, Liu Feng, killed the witness and then committed suicide. Before he died, Liu Feng took all the blame.

Ling Se, who brought the letter, was detained outside the building. But the Empress arrived and took her inside. Prince Xian panicked when he saw the Empress. Even though she said she was just there to observe, the Empress was there to deliver justice to Xu Zi Lu and Wu Qi.

After the judge read the secret letter, he was finally convinced that Prince Xian was planning to rebel. The letter was a hard evidence and Prince Xian couldn’t avoid it anymore.

Later, it was revealed that Wu Qi and Xu Zi Lu had been working together for a long time before the competition began. When Wu Qi claimed the Xu family’s incense as his own, it was also part of their plan. They had to gain Prince Xian’s trust, and this was the only way to do it.

They didn’t just plan the smuggling business. Wu Qi and Xu Zi Lu also tampered with the marriage contract that was given to the Empress. Prince Xian gave Wu Qi the real marriage contract.

But then Wu Qi told Xu Zi Lu to make a copy of the agreement in a special paper from Prince Xian’s mansion. Therefore, when the letter was presented as evidence, the monarch would think that Prince Xian was forging the agreement to frame Xu Zi Lu and Ling Se.

After all was said and done, at the end of Debit Queen, Xu Zi Lu promised to give Ling Se a proper marriage. Now, they would be married again, but in his time, they married for love.

Wang Zhu Jue and the others didn’t know that Ping Er had been taken to her home. At that moment, she was scolded by her aunt, the Empress. Yes, just as I thought. Ping Er’s identity is special, she is a princess who ran away to another city to avoid marrying Prince Xian. Ping Er didn’t love him. She wanted to be with a person who could really invest in the relationship, who was honest and had a sincere heart.

Ping Er’s real identity shocked everyone. Her real name is Wei Qing Ping. She is the granddaughter of Marquis Wei. Wang Zhu Jue’s happiness turned down after he met Prince Xian, who turned out to be Ping Er’s fiancé. Wang Zhu Jue, who didn’t think too much about Ping Er’s new identity, still called her Ping Er and offended Prince Xian.

Immediately after Ping Er’s return, Prince Xian wanted to set the wedding date with Ping Er’s grandfather. Prince Xian was eager to marry Ping Er so that he could get his hands on Ping Er’s grandfather’s military power.

After Prince Xian threatened Ping Er with her family’s life, she still refused to marry him. Later, Prince Xian got his way by setting the wedding date himself. Ping Er’s grandfather couldn’t sit still after watching her cry all day. So, he told Ping Er to run away.

However, Prince Xian was not someone who could be easily tricked. He managed to find Ping Er and threatened her with her grandfather’s life. Prince Xian also captured Wang Zhu Jue’s father and accused him of a crime.

Wang Zhu Jue and Ping Er had no choice but to surrender. Ping Er agreed to marry Prince Xian on the condition that none of her friends would be harmed. With that, she was taken to his mansion while Wang Zhu Jue could only feel helpless.

At Prince Xian’s mansion, Ping Er, who was depressed, fell ill. However, she refused to take any medicine. When Ling Se asked for an audience, Prince Xian initially refused to see her. Ping Er told Prince Xian that she would drink the medicine if only Prince Xu would agree to see Ling Se. Prince Xu had to agree to this condition because if Ping Er was ill, the wedding would be postponed.

On the ending, After Prince Xian was arrested for treason, Ping Er and Wang Zhu Jue were free to be together. There won’t be anyone else to interfere with their relationship. Ping Er’s grandfather wanted Wang Zhu Jue to join the Wei family, and Wang Zhu Jue happily agreed.
