Hola readers… Another Love Between Fairy and Devil episode recap for you. In this episodes 20 and 21, there were some funny scenes and the Demon Lord spilled vinegar. I have never thought that Yunmeng Lake was such a place that made some composed people turn into interesting people. Without further ado, let’s start.

Episode 20

Xiao Lan Hua, Dongfang Qingcang, Shang Que, and Jieli started their so-called vacation as humans in Lucheng City. On the first day, Jieli took them all to visit a brothel. At first, Shang Que refused the idea, since visiting a brothel meant they would indulge in pleasure and it would delay their business.

However, the Demon Lord unexpectedly agreed to her suggestion. Thus, the four of them went into Feixian Hall, which accidentally was the place where Xie Wanqing lived. And because Dongfang Qingcang wanted to see Xie Wanqing, they used the crudest way to get her: bribes.

Another accidental event occurred at Feixian Hall. They met the mortal Changheng. Xiao Lan Hua recognized him from the Magical Fireflies Stone dangled on his waist. She hurriedly lured Dongfang Qingcang in another direction because she was afraid that if he recognized him, he would sabotage Changheng’s fate and turn him into ashes.

Everybody was stunned when they saw Xie Wanqing. She was truly a fairy in the mortal world. Her beauty was mesmerizing and her dance was beautiful. At the back of her neck, Xiao Lan Hua could see the Hellfire scar. Her brain connected the facts and guessed that Xie Wanqing was the reincarnation of Chidi Nüzi and Dongfang Qingcang aimed at her. She decided that she must protect Xie Wanqing from the Moon Supreme Lord.

Therefore, Xiao Lan Hua had two missions right now: to protect the mortal Changheng and Chidi Nüzi. When Xie Wanqing’s dance ended, many noblemen gifted her with valuable things such as gold, jewellery, brocades, or paintings.

But one person gave her a priceless treasure, a red royal coral. And the one who gave it to her was the second son of the Xiao family, Xiao Run. Or we know him by another name, Changheng. Since he gave the most valuable gift, Xiao Run had the chance to meet Xie Wanqing.

When all the attention was on Xiao Run, Xiao Lan Hua did everything she could to stop Dongfang Qingcang from recognizing him. She purposely threw the bracelet and claimed that the bracelet was gone. Dongfang Qingcang almost use his magic to summon the bracelet, but the little orchid forbid him from using it to avoid other humans would see it.

She told him that he must find the bracelet because it was precious to her. She did everything so Xiao Run could pass them unnoticed. However, Dongfang Qingcang’s intuitions were hard to be deceived. He pulled her hand and asked her sternly, what was her purpose to go to Yunmeng Lake.

Xiao Run used the chance to meet Xie Wanqing in her room. Changheng acted friendly with her, but Xie Wanqing was the opposite. She claimed that she did not recognize him. Xiao Run explained that their family used to be close and the Emperor has betrothed them before they were born.

Xie Wanqing refuses the proposal. She said that her family has met mishaps ten years ago and Xiao Run should forget about the engagement. Xiao Run appeared not bothered by her rejection. He happily said that he would come another day.

Outside Xie Wanqing’s room, Xiao Run’s page boy Qu Shui, urged him to return home immediately because his father was furious. Mr. Xiao had found out that his precious red coral was gone. At home, Mr. Xiao caught him red-handed when Xiao Run tried to enter his room stealthily.

Mr. Xiao punishes him with a beating because he stole the coral for Xie Wanqing. Mr. Xiao told him that the engagement matters between him and Xie Wanqing was only a joke made by the Emperor. If he was going to marry her, the Xiao family would be a laughingstock.

Xiao Run said that he did not want to be a hypocritical person just like his father. Mr. Xiao threatens to cut off his monthly allowance. Xiao Run hurriedly knelt and admitted he was wrong. His father had said the magic words, therefore he had to obey… 😅.

Qu Shui questioned Xiao Run what was his reason that he insisted to marry Xie Wanqing when he did not love her. Xiao Run replied that Xie Wanqing was his friend and he wanted to take care of her. The one he really love was a fairy that often appeared in his dream since he was young.

Can You guess who was Qu Shui? Yep… Qu Shui was fairy Danyin’s mortal identity. Since she always wanted to be near Changheng and serve him, a page boy was a perfect role for her. However, in this mortal world, Danyin was a male. Therefore I would addressed Qu Shui as HE…😉

Xiao Lan Hua and her friend left Feixian Hall. When she could not walk anymore because her leg was sore, Dongfang Qingcang offered to carry her. Xiao Lan Hua immediately refused the offer. The situation was a bit awkward after that. Jieli immediately lured Shang Que to leave Dongfang Qingcang and Xiao Lan Hua. She wanted to give those couple a moment alone.

Dongfang Qingcang used the opportunity to confirm Xiao Lan Hua’s feelings for him. Xiao Lan Hua used to say that there was no love between them, but she also said that the Bone Orchid was precious to her. He wondered did she lied to him back then or just then. Xiao Lan Hua stated that she did not lie at all.

It was impossible for them to be an item and the Bone Orchid truly was precious for her. She replied that when Dongfang Qingcang decided to attack Shuiyuntian and killed the fairies, she would be his enemy. Xiao Lan Hua also asked him whether he really was not angry with her.

In the past, every time she annoyed him, Dongfang Qingcang always lost his temper and threatened to kill her, but now he was not angry at all, even when she lost the Bone Orchid. Dongfang Qingcang could not answer her question.

Dongfang Qingcang was confused about his feelings. He asked Shang Que why he felt distracted and could not concentrate when Orchid was around. Dongfang Qingcang asked why he could not get angry with her. Instead, he wanted her to be angry with him. Lately, he was disappointed because Xiao Lan Hua seemed to stay away from him.

She no longer annoyed him and did not want to spend time with him. Surprisingly Shang Que also had the same symptom every time Jieli was around. Both of them pondered the reason in silence…

Ahahahahahah… Those master and his dragon were truly clueless about feelings.

Xiao Lan Hua told Jieli about Changheng and Chidi Nüzi and their mortal fates. However, both of them could not think of the reason why Dongfang Qingcang aimed Chidi Nüzi’s primordial spirit. Jieli reminded her that the Lantern festival was coming up. The little orchid recalled that Xie Wanqing would meet her soulmate that night. She was sure that since Xie Wanqing and Xiao Run were engaged, Changheng was the destined lover for Xie Wanqing.

At Xishan’s Spirit Shattering Abyss where Rong Hao recuperated, he forced himself to go to Yunmeng lake. He wanted to accompany his master on her big event.

Xiao Lan Hua, Dongfang Qingcang, Shang Que, and Jieli spent time playing at the Lantern Festival. While the girls were hopping around everywhere, Dongfang Qingcang discussed Xie Wanqing’s matter with Shang Que. Jieli took Shang Que away to give Xiao Lan Hua and Dongfang Qingcang some time to be alone.

The Demon Lord and the little orchid walked together, awkwardly. They met a young girl who sold flowers. Dongfang Qingcang bought a peony and put it on Xiao Lan Hua’s hair. He proclaim that since Xiao Lan Hua wanted to act like a mortal, she should look like one. Xiao Lan Hua probed about his intention in Yunmeng lake. But Dongfang Qingcang lied that he was there just to relax. His attention was diverted when he saw the cuju ball seller. Xiao Lan Hua used the opportunity to run.

Meanwhile, Xiao Run had a losing streak in a gamble. Qu Shui tried to warn him because he had lost all his money. Yet, he got robbed by Xiao Run who borrowed his entire salary to place another bet. However, the money was not enough. Therefore, Xiao Run put his Magical Firefly Stone as a bet. But of course, he lost again. Xiao Run did not realize that the dealer seemed shady.

Regardless of his recklessness, Xiao Run still understands the price of his jade. He wanted to take it back but failed. As a last resort, he stole the jade back and run. He was chased by the gambling house guard immediately.

Meanwhile, Xie Wanqing was in a melancholy state in her room. She tried to drink away her sorrow but failed. Her maid reminded her to rest but Xie Wanqing refused. She feel that she was waiting for something that she missed. But she did not know who is it and how long she must wait. Suddenly she heard a sad melody. It was Rong Hao who play the flute for her.

Episode 21

Rong Hao played a sad melody for his master. Xie Wanqing could hear it clearly, but her maidservant did not. She thought that her young lady was drunk.

Meanwhile, Dongfang Qingcang frantically looked everywhere for Xiao Lan Hua. When he saw Shang Que and Jieli, he ordered them to find her. To shorten the time, Dongfang Qingcang wanted to use his magic to get rid of the people off the street. Shang Que reminded him that they could not disrupt Chidi Nüzi’s mortal fate. Dongfang Qingcang returned to his nature. He threatened Shang Que and Jieli that if the little orchid were in danger, he would throw them to the Memory Loss River.

Xiao Lan Hua predicted that Xie Wanqing would meet Changheng and fall in love with him at Feixian Hall where she lived. Therefore, she hurriedly went there.

Dongfang Qingcang appeared on the rooftop of the building. He wanted to look for Xiao Lan Hua. Instead, saw Xie Wanqing standing alone on a balcony listening to music.

Die Yi reported to Rong Hao that Dongfang Qingcang appeared at Lucheng City. Rong Hao did not worry at all. He knew that Dongfang Qingcang intended to take Chidi Nüzi’s primordial spirit to free his 100,000 demon soldiers. However, he could not take it before Xie Wanqing’s hardship experience was completed.

Therefore, he would not do anything to Xie Wanqing. Rong Hao had been guarding Chidi Nüzi every time she experience hardships for 30,000 years. Right now, he had found the Goddess of Xishan, and this was the last life of his master. They could not afford any mistakes. Die Yi must be careful and make sure everything goes well.

Xie Wanqing who was always unhappy in her life planned to end her life. She was going to drink a poison that she prepared before. Dongfang Qingcang watched her intently, waiting for Mr. Right to stop her. But he did not show up. So he shouted at her to stop drinking. When Xie Wanqing saw him, she remembered her past life.

Meanwhile, the said Mr. Right still running from the gambling house’s guards. The guards managed to corner him. Xiao Run who was helpless in this life, completely the opposite of the great God Of War, could not do anything to fight them back. He refused to give them his jade.

Xiao Lan Hua who saw Changheng beaten by the guards stop them. They threaten her and almost attacked her. But she used her power to subdue the guards. Xiao Run’s jaw dropped when he saw her.

Xie Wanqing recalled the Great War where she fought Dongfang Qingcang. However, she did not remember him at all. She just felt some deja vu when she saw him. She remembered the mixed feeling she had for him: hate, respect, and concern. Xie Wanqing thought that she was just dreaming and intended to continue to drink the poison. Dongfang Qingcang had to come to her and put her to sleep to stop the suicide attempt. When Dongfang Qingcang looked at an alley next to the building, he saw Xiao Lan Hua run toward Changheng.

Xiao Lan Hua was able to avoid Xiao Run by hiding behind a stall. Suddenly Dongfang Qingcang appeared before her. He scolded her harshly. He said that he was worried for her safety while she was there to meet Changheng secretly. Dongfang Qingcang already realized that Changheng was among the mortals in Yunmeng Lake since they went to the Feixian Hall for the first time.

He was angry because he thought that everything Xiao Lan Hua said and did was only to cover up for Changheng. He wanted to believe that when Xiao Lan Hua said that the Bone Orchid was precious to her. Xiao Lan Hua admitted that she lied to him. She revealed that she knew he intended to get Chidi Nüzi’s primordial spirit. And the Demon Lord also lied to her by saying that he was there only to hang around with her.

Dongfang Qingcang accused her to go to Lucheng City without permission because she knew that Changheng was going to experience hardship. Xiao Lan Hua was shocked when Dongfang Qingcang said he would use this rare opportunity to kill Changheng. If he died, he had one less trouble for him.

She immediately told him that he must not kill Changheng, because he was Mr. Right.Xiao Lan Hua explained to Dongfang Qingcang, that Xiao Run was betrothed to Xie Wanqing before birth. He also proposed to her with a lot of money. Xiao Lan Hua reminded him that if he killed Changheng, Xie Wanqing’s fate would change too.

Dongfang Qingcang realized something. He then looked at the little orchid and said that she was the cause of Changheng not showing up at Feixian Hall. If Changheng did not stall the time by running around with her, Dongfang Qingcang did not have to stop Xie Wanqing from drinking the poison.

Xiao Lan Hua was shocked when she heard his words. Dongfang Qingcang should not interfere with fate. Xie Wanqing and Xiao Run had missed the time. They should find another way to help Chidi Nüzi and Changheng before their primordial spirits vanished and their bodies turn into ashes.

Qu Shui asked why Xiao Run seemed absent-minded at home. He reminded his young master that Xiao Run must go to school early in the morning and go to Feixian Hall in the afternoon. But, Xiao Run said that he would not go to visit Xie Wanqing. He was busy remembering the heroine that he saw just then because he wanted to draw her.

Qu Shui walked into the garden when he met Dongfang Qingcang. The Demon Lord remembers his face as Fairy Danyin, one of the Shuiyuntian people who used to bully Xiao Lan Hua. Qu Shui thought that he was a thief and shouted to call the guards.

Xiao Run heard his shout and ran to help him. Dongfang Qingcang used his magic to knock him out. When Dongfang Qingcang met Xiao Run, he said that they were fated because they were in the same city. Dongfang Qingcang used the same magic to knock him out too then he took Changheng’s memory when he meet Xiao Lan Hua.

He was jealous when he saw Xiao Run say that he should have had a relationship with the little orchid in heaven. It seemed that Dongfang Qingcang did not intend to kill Changheng that night.

Xiao Lan Hua and the rest were waiting for Dongfang Qingcang to successfully erase Changheng’s memory. It was a piece of cake job for the great Moon Supreme Lord. However, the problem was not solved yet.

To pass the hardship experience, Xie Wanqing still had to meet Xiao Run so they could get married and Xiao Run could kill Xie Wanqing on their wedding night. Shang Que asked a question that was also questioned by the little orchid. If Xiao Run loved Xie Wanqing, why did he kill her? Xiao Lan Hua said that she was also curious because Changheng was a person who values love and loyalty. It did not make any sense that he need to kill her.

Dongfang Qingcang bitterly said that that was the first time he heard there was someone who values love and loyalty in the fairy realm. When Shang Que refutes his words, he got struck by his master’s glare…😅

As the fate expert, Xiao Lan Hua said that as long as Xie Wanqing and Xiao Run fall in love and get married, it did not matter how they meet. After hesitating, he said that he just erased Xiao Run’s memory, if she went there rashly it would spoil the chance. Jieli, who appeared to be the master of relationships, teased Xiao Lan Hua and said that it was not appropriate for her to meet Xiao Run.

Ahahahaha… Jieli understands clearly why Dongfang Qingacang stopped Xiao Lan Hua. His vinegar was still spilled… 🤣

Jieli gives some suggestions. Dongfang Qingcang and Shang Que must approach Xiao Run, while she and Xiao Lan Hua would deal with Xie Wanqing. Xiao Lan Hua was a bit hesitant when she heard that. Dongfang Qingcang understood her thoughts. She was afraid the Demon Lord would use the opportunity to kill Changheng. Dongfang Qingcang reassured her that he would not do that. Changheng was a mere mortal now, if he killed him, he was the same as those hypocrites in the fairy realm. Lord Yunzhong, did he talk about you??😉

Xiao Lan Hua stopped Dongfang Qingcang and give him some pointers on making friends.

Xie Wanqing woke up in a daze. She remembered the mysterious man last night. But her maid said there was no one in the room besides her. Xie Wanqing saw a Spring Banquet invitation on her desk. She almost declined it, but after a second thought, she accepted the invitation and told her maid to look for a gardener.

Xiao Run and Qu Shui woke up when the sun was high. They were confused about why did they sleep in the yard. Xiao Run did not remember anything, but Qu Shui still remember. When Xiao Run realized the time, he hurriedly run to the school. If he was late again, his father would skin him. When Xiao Run saw the drawing on his table, he was stunned. He did not remember when he drew her, but Xiao Run was happy because he finally remembered her face.

It turned out that Xiao Run did not remember the face of the fairy in his dream…🤦🏻‍♀️

And our fab four seemed not to know about Qu Shui’s existence, so Xiao Lan Hua and the rest did not think they should erase his memory too.

The said gardener that Xie Wanqing mentioned was Xiao Lan Hua. Xie Wanqing had peony plants, and she wanted them to bloom just before the Spring Banquet. Of course, as a plant fairy, Xiao Lan Hua was great at handling plants. She was the only person in the city who could make Xie Wanqing’s peony bloom.

He kept whispering to Dongfang Yuanwai, and the teacher who was annoyed by the whispering sounds scolded Dongfang Yuanwai. Nobody ever scolded the great and mighty Dongfang Qingcang. The teacher made the Demon Lord furious, he slammed a book to the table and everybody was shocked. Shang Que immediately calmed him down.

The only person who had a different impression of his temper was Xiao Run. He immediately idolizes Dongfang Yuanwai 😅.

So, on the first day of school, Dongfang Qingcang was punished to stand by the teacher…🤣🤣🤣🤣.

The cheeky Xiao Run took Dongfang Yuanwai to a football match. Because they left when school was not over yet, they could not use the door. Instead, they crawl through a dog hole. 🤣🤣🤣.

Their team won the game because apparently, Dongfang Qingcang was an expert footballer from the Cangyan Sea. Dongfang Yuanwai told Xiao Run that his father was the one who taught him how to play football.

Xiao Run was jealous because his father only scolds him. Dongfang Yuanwai said that he did not care about fame and fortune. The most important thing was the wooden ball. Xiao Run was touched by his word and immediately proclaimed that Dongfang Yuanwai was his confidant, he even helped him put some ointment on Dongfang Yuanwai’s wounded finger. Dongfang Qingcang recalled Xiao Lan Hua’s pointers for making a friend: smile. So he gave Xiao Run a very stiff smile.

It was funny to see the touchy Xiao Run put his hand around Dongfang Yuanwai’s shoulder. He was very friendly while Dongfang Yuanwai was very… stiff.
