Xing Luo

Xing Luo was the wife of Li Yuan and Danyin’s mother. She was one of the Moon Tribe people. Because their relationship was a forbidden one, they made it a secret. She gave birth to her children when she was escaping from the Shuiyuntian soldiers.

Episode 28

Die Yi and Jieli talked inside the forest. Die Yi reminded Jieli not to ask something that she should not and kept her identity as a spy hidden. Jieli reassured her that she would only be loyal to the Pavillion Master and their master.

They did not finish the conversation because Shang Que and several guards were patrolling inside the forest. Jieli lied that she was there to hide a treasure. Jieli said that Shang Que was too nice to her. Shang Que told her that even if she cheated on him a thousand times, he would always believed her.

That night, Jieli approached Xiao Lan Hua on her bed. The little orchid slept so soundly that she did not realize that Jieli had dropped the blood into her Bone Orchid Bracelet. Jieli swallowed a pill and recalled the time when she pledged her loyalty to Rong Hao and accepted her first job: to take Xiao Lan Hua out of the Silent Moon Palace. And to prove her loyalty, she had to swallow the Heart Eroding Pill. Die Yi gave her enough antidote for three months.

Dongfang Qingcang walked out from his palace and found that his palace was surrounded by the people of the Moon Tribe. Led by Dongfang Xunfeng, they protested his relationship with Xiao Lan Hua and begged him not to celebrate the festival with her. They reasoned that Xiao Lan Hua was a fairy from Shuiyuntian.

In the eyes of the Moon Tribe, Shuiyuntian fairies were a bunch of heartless hypocrites who harbor evil intentions. Xunfeng told him that he could not bear to see him make more mistakes because of her. He was willing to be punished because of this. The Moon Tribe people demanded Xiao Lan Hua be killed Because she was a jinx who brought disaster.

Dongfang Qingcang suppressed his emotion. He told his people that without Xiao Lan Hua, he would not learn to forgive. He reminded Xunfeng that if Xiao Lan Hua did not find the truth behind their father’s suicide, Xunfeng would end up dying of thunders. If he still regarded Dongfang Qingcang as his brother, then he should regard Xiao Lan Hua as his sister-in-law. Xunfeng was shocked that his brother’s feeling for the little orchid was serious.

In front of the kneeling Moon Tribe people, Dongfang Qingcang stated that he loved Xiao Lan Hua and he wanted to marry her and give her the grandest wedding in three realms. He explained that they might not know Xiao Lan Hua, but for him, Xiao Lan Hua was the nicest and gentlest person.

She never had any prejudice toward the Moon Tribe people. She treated them with equal love and respect. She was the bravest person who saved his life. She would not bring disaster to them, on the contrary, she was the only person who could bear the title The Moon Queen of the Cangyan Sea.

The Moon Supreme Lord admitted that he was indeed at fault because he failed to bring the 100,000 demon soldiers back to the Cangyan Sea. Therefore, he was willing to receive the Bone Devouring Spike as punishment and apologized to the soldiers and the Moon Tribe people.

His words caused an uproar among his people. Bone Devouring Spike was the cruelest punishment and they could not bear to have their Lord experience it. Dongfang Qingcang ignored their plea, instead, he swore to never remove the spike until the 100,000 demon soldiers returned to their families. And lastly, Dongfang Qingcang stated that whether they acknowledged her or not, his wife would only be her.

Dongfang Qingang received his punishment. The executioners gave him 9 Bone Devouring Spikes. Each spike was hurtful even for the strong Dongfang Qingcang. He almost fainted when the last spike was inserted. Nevertheless, he still went to the bridge to meet Xiao Lan Hua.

When she saw him, the little orchid immediately run to his embrace. She thought Dongfang Qingcang would not come that night. But he had promised that he would never lie to her ever again. Xiao Lan Hua took the initiative to kiss him. But when they were about to hang the locks, Dongfang Qingcang fainted.

Shang Que dragged the panicked Xiao Lan Hua from Dongfang Qingcang’s bedroom. He explained that to spend the festival with her, his master had the spikes inserted into him. And every midnight, the spikes would travel inside the body and hurt his organ. The pain was unbearable that Dongfang Qingcang ordered Shang Que to keep Xiao Lan Hua from entering the bedroom.

He did not want her to see him suffer. Shang Que also said that his master refused to have the spikes removed before the 100,000 demon soldiers returned home. This was the price he had to pay for being with Xiao Lan Hua and an to appease The Moon Tribe people. That night, the thunders roared as if they tried to conceal the Moon Supreme’s screams.

When the sky finally calmed down and the pain has gone, Dongfang Qingcang went out of his room to see the sleeping Xiao Lan Hua. He sat next to her and stared at her sleeping face when the sunray shone over them. Xiao Lan Hua opened her eyes and instantly saw the most handsome man in three realms, his face seemed a bit pale. She hugged him and asked about his condition.

Dongfang Qingcang reassured her that everything was okay before he took her to a pavilion nearby. Shang Que and several maidservants were waiting for them. Each of them carried a tray covered with a red fabric. Those trays were filled with valuable treasures from the three realms. Xiao Lan Hua was confused and asked Dongfang Qingcang. He explained everything after he dismissed Shang Que and the servants.

Dongfang Qingcang gave her a key to the Pavilion of Spiritual Treasure. He said that it was hers from now on but she refused. Dongfang Qingcang said that he had something important to tell her, but the little orchid was faster. She gave him a bracelet made from vines that she made herself. Xiao Lan Hua asked him to marry her and be her husband. She promised that she would treat him well and would only love him. She promised that whatever happened she would never leave him.

Dongfang Qingcang was stunned because Xiao Lan Hua stole his lines…😆 But then, he wore the bracelet as the answer…👏

When they almost kissed, Xunfeng stopped them. He reminded his brother that according to Yannv, The Moon Tribe People could not marry Fairies from Shuiyuntian. He also reminded him that he should not forget the hatred. The Moon Tribe was borne from hatred. If he forgot about it, then he forgot about his origin.

Xunfeng accused Xiao Lan Hua of being insincere. Because of her, Dongfang Qingcang neglected his duty and put himself in danger because of the Heart Curse. No matter how angry Xunfeng was, Dongfang Qingcang ignored him and took Xiao Lan Hua away.

Dongfang Qingcang stood in front of his ministers. They protested again about his intention to marry a fairy from Shuiyuntian. Dongfang Qingcang was adamant about his decision. He threatened his ministers that if they brought up the matter again, he would kill them.

But suddenly Xiao Lan Hua showed up at the meeting and said that she was willing to enter the Fuju cave. Although Dongfang Qingcang told her that she could be with him without entering the Fuju cave, Xiao Lan Hua stated that she wanted to enter the cave because she wanted to be with him.

Xiao Lan Hua explained that since Yannv and Chong Hua broke up, Shuiyuntian and the Moon Tribe had been engulfed by hatred. They constantly engaged in wars. However, when hatred took over, tragedies would happen again. Xiao Lan Hua was willing to sacrifice herself to eliminate the hatred and she hoped by entering the Fuju cave, the Moon Tribe would see her sincerity.

Another reason why she was willing to enter the Fuju cave was that she did not want the person she loved to quarrel with his brother and failed to face his people. She also had to prove to the Moon Tribe that she deserved to be the Moon Queen and stood beside the Moon Supreme Lord. Nonetheless, Dongfang Qingcang still refused her idea.

That night, Xiao Lan Hua and Dongfang QIngcang fought. They yelled at each other. Xiao Lan Hua insisted to take the punishment. They were not supposed to be together anyway, therefore, they needed to pay the price. Dongfang Qingcang yelled that he should be the one who bears the price and punishment. But the fiery little orchid would not back down. She said that if he did it, then those ministers and Moon Tribe people would not accept her and thought that she did not deserve to be with him.

Xiao Lan Hua reminded Dongfang Qingcang that his position and glory were earned by himself and not inherited. Therefore, the honor of becoming the Moon Queen must be earned by her. Dongfang Qingcang scolded her and told her that the torture in the Fuju cave was hard to endure.

He was the only person who could come out alive from that cave. Even so, Xiao Lan Hua was optimistic that she could endure it. The little orchid changed her tactic. She persuaded Dongfang QIngcang to respect her decision and as husband and wife, they had to learn to be together in weal and woe. Reluctantly, Dongfang Qingcang agreed to her decision.

Xiao Lan Hua had a secret meeting with Xunfeng in the forest. She said that Xunfeng cared about his brother just like she did. And because he was the one who mentioned Fuju cave, Xunfeng must had a way to avoid the heart curse. Xiao Lan Hua did not want Dongfang Qingcang to suffer with her, Xunfeng gave him a potion that could make the person who drank it unable to feel anything. However, he was pessimistic that his brother would accept the potion happily.

Xiao Lan Hua promised that she could make him drink the potion. Xunfeng admitted that he wanted her to enter the Fuju cave only to frighten her so she would give up.

He did not mean to send her there because if she entered the cave, Dongfang Qingcang surely would not forgive him. Xunfeng was stunned when Xiao Lan Hua retorted his words with a simple question about how much he loved his brother. And because she also loved him, there was a price to pay and a responsibility to take.

The next morning Xiao Lan Hua and Dongfang Qingcang walked out of the palace together. The ministers were already lined up to wait for her. Xiao Lan Hua gave Dongfang Qingcang a glass of wine. He instantly knew that there was something in the wine that made him reluctant to drink it. Although he was unwilling, Dongfang Qingcang still drank the wine because Xiao Lan Hua reminded him that he once spoke that he would always drink the wine given by her.

Dongfang Qingcang saw her walk away to the Fuju cave. Xiao Lan Hua walked with a determined expression. She did not know what would wait for her inside the Fuju cave or how painful the torture was, but she had made up her mind to fight for her love. When the red ray radiated from the sarcophagus, it meant the punishment has begun. It was so painful that in a short time, Xiao Lan Hua’s scream could be heard by everybody present in the cave.

Episode 29

When Xiao Lan Hua was tortured inside the sarcophagus at the Fuju cave, the Xilan seal on Dongfang Qingcang’s forehead shone. He seemed to have anticipated the wave of pain that came along with it. But even so, he tried to suppress the pain, and beads of sweat started to appear on his forehead. Dongfang Qingcang now clearly felt the unbearable pain that he shared with Xiao Lan Hua. Shang Que ran to help his master.

He was confused about that. Dongfang Qingcang clearly had drunk the potion but why did he still feel the pain? It turned out that Dongfang Qingcang spat the wine. That was the reason why he did not say anything to the little orchid after he drank the wine. He kept the wine in his mouth and spat it out while others did not see.

Dongfang Qingcang thought that he and Xiao Lan Hua would be husband and wife, they should live and die together, share honor and disgrace. If he could not bear the pain for her, then let him suffer with her…😭

Xunfeng ran to the Fuju cave to prevent Xiao Lan Hua from entering the sarcophagus. He was late. He ordered the masters to stop the punishment only to hear the answer that they could not stop the punishment unless the person inside the sarcophagus gave up. They shout to Xiao Lan Hua to give up, but no words are heard coming out of it. At that moment, Xiao Lan Hua has already fainted because of the torture.

Xiao lan Hua dreamed of her time with Dongfang Qingcang when they were still at Shuiyuntian. She woke up when The masters shout again. They would count from 1 to 10 and wait for her to knock on the wall 2 times. If she did it, it means she was giving up and the torture would stop.

Weakly, Xiao Lan Hua knocked her hand twice. She was barely able to speak. When the door opened she slumped down, her feet could not support her body. Outside the sarcophagus, the masters bowed and welcomed her as their Moon Queen. Even Xunfeng who could not hide the relief expression on his face also bowed to her.

Suddenly the cave door was opened. The paled Dongfang Qingcang came. He was not surprise when he saw the people kneeling. He walked to her, touched her face, and took her away. The ministers were already kneeling and greeting her at the front of Silent Moon Palace.

Meanwhile, at Shuiyuntian, they held the last trial for Changheng. He was stripped from his position and his status as an immortal. He would not be the son of Lord Dong anymore, he would have no surname and clan, and his name would be erased from the genealogy of Shuiyuntian just like his mother. Suddenly Danyin barged in and admitted that the fault was hers. She revealed that Xiao Lan Hua was the goddess of Xishan.

Her words were proved by the images of Xiao Lan Hua radiating with green power when she faced the evil spirits, and her confession about the two marriages of Changheng that she saw in Tianji mirror at the Arbiter Hall. Everybody was shocked including Changheng. Lord Yunzhong exempted Danyin from punishment because of the confession.

Lord Yunzhong also praised Changheng’s act of saving the goddess as a righteous act and returned his position as the God of War. Everybody greeted Changheng as the God of War when suddenly a soldier entered the hall to deliver Rong Hao’s confession. In the letter, Rong Hao revealed that the 3,000 Shuiyuntian soldiers were killed by Dongfang Qingcang.

Changheng went to the cell where Rong Hao was detained. He asked him why he lied in his confession. Because of the confession, they would start a war between Shuiyuntian and The Moon Tribe. It turned out that the confession was orchestrated by Lord Yunzhong who needed a reason to unite the fairies and destroy The Cangyan Sea.

Rong Hao told him that Dongfang Qingcang no longer could manipulate hellfire. Changheng was shocked because he thought that back then in the Memory Loss River, Dongfang Qingcang was only injured. Rong Hao told him that Changheng would definitely join the war, he was destined to do it.

Changheng asked whether Rong Hao had a hidden agenda besides his mission to bring back Chidi Nüzi. Rong Hao did not hide the fact that Changheng’s assumption was right. He said that he would lie to others, but he would never lie to Changheng. However, Rong Hao still refused to tell him the truth.

Shang Que chased Jieli who seemed to avoid him. He told her that he has something important to say. Shang Que took her hand and put a key in it. It was the key to his cellar where he put all his money there. Jieli refused the key but she stopped when Shang Que said that he promised to give her everything because he wanted to marry her. Jieli stilled.

She never imagined that Shang Que would propose to her. She said that his salary was too small to marry her, and that was why after they got married, she would continue to do business while he would be in charge of running errands, and she would not give him any cut and all of their profit would go straight to her purse. Shang Que was elated when he learned that Jieli agreed to marry him.

It seemed that every man in Cangyan Sea was good at saving money…😆

Die Yi stopped Li Yuan when he was on a stroll in the forest. Die Yi said that Li Yuan once promised to repay her master for saving his family’s life. Now was the perfect time to repay his kindness. Li Yuan said that he made the promise to Rong Hao the immortal not to the Lord of Haishi City. Die Yi seemed unaffected by his words. She showed him a half piece of an amulet.

The same amulet that he destroyed back then. Li Yuan was shocked then a thought struck him. The half-amulet might belong to Danyin’s twin sister. That’s right. Back then his wife gave birth to 2 daughters. Both of them had mixed blood of immortal and the Moon Tribe. To avoid problems, Li Yuan and his wife, Xing Luo, decided to make one of their daughter a full immortal while the other was a full Moon Tribe person. Or else, none of the Shuiyuntian or the Moon Tribe would accept them.

After that night Li Yuan had been looking for Xing Luo but it was for naught. She and their daughter vanished. Li Yuan never thought that his family had fallen into the clutch of Rong Hao. Die Yi said that Xing Luo had died when they escaped. But her master took the baby and raised her. Li Yuan asked what The Lord of Haishi city wanted from him. Die Yi said that the task was to bring Rong Hao out of the prison.

At the Silent Moon Palace, Xiao Lan Hua had a hard time adjusting to her status as the Moon Queen. Whenever she met with the palace’s servants they kneeled and greeted her, even Shang Que greeted her respectfully.

Xiao Lan Hua called for him and asked whether Shang Que realized that there was something different with Jieli recently. Recently, Jielli was willing to give her treasures for free to Xiao Lan Hua and Shang Que. Jieli’s attitude changes were too extreme that Xiao Lan Hua and Shang Que could only guess that she changed because she already found a stable life and a companion.

Jieli used to be alone but now she had found her love (Shang Que), a good friend (Xiao Lan Hua), and a new home (Cangyan Sea). Shang Que promised that he would treat Jieli even better while Xiao Lan Hua promised that she would always protect her. None of them realized that Jieli heard their conversation behind the curtain with a complicated expression.

That night, Die Yi came to Xunfeng and told him a secret. She knew the reason why Dongfang Qingcang could not use the hellfire.

Dongfang Qingcang held a private banquet for Xiao Lan Hua. However, something strange happened when she was in front of the mirror. Her Bone Orchid bracelet exuded a red light and then her reflection changed, and another face appeared. It was Chidi Nüzi’s.

In the bedroom, the Moon Supreme Lord discovered that something evil had entered the Bone Orchid bracelet. But now the bracelet could not be taken easily from her. If Xiao Lan Hua did not love him, the bracelet was only a protection device. But since she was devoted to him, the bracelet could not be separated from her, or else she would be hurt.

Dongfang Qingcang told Xunfeng that the Bone Orchid contained the fragmented spirit of Chidi Nüzi. Xunfeng was happy because they still had a way to free the demon soldiers. However. The bracelet could not be taken easily from Xiao Lan Hua. But if they did not take it off of her, Chidi Nüzi’s spirit would feed on her spirit, and on the tenth day, Xiao Lan Hua would die of exhaustion. And if she died, Dongfang Qingcang would die too because they were still connected through the Heart Curse.

Xunfeng had an idea to prevent it from happening. He already had the last fragment of Chanying Sword. And with the sword, Xiao Lan Hua could sacrifice herself for him. Dongfang Qingcang angrily refused the idea and asked Xunfeng to hand over the fragment to him. The brothers had another fight because Xunfeng refused to do it.

For him, Dongfang Qingcang was more important than a little fairy. Before he left, Xunfeng told him that Dongfang Qingcang’s hellfire was cultivated by the loss of his love. Now he was addicted to love and his Tree of Love had been restored, the hellfire naturally would disappear.

Dongfang Qingcang admitted that he already knew it. He just refused to face it. He could not imagine how he would protect the people of Cangyan Sea and Xiao Lan Hua without the hellfire.

Jieli waited for Shang Que in the forest. Instead of Shang Que, it was Die Yi who came and asked about her task. She had to bring Xiao Lan Hua out of the palace. Since she was reluctant to do it, she made an excuse that Dongfang Qingcang had doubled the protection of the little orchid. Die Yi did not buy it. She punished her with the Heart Eroding pill that instantly made her squirm because of pain.

Die Yi gave her an antidote for the pain and told her that Jieli only had 3 days left to complete the task, or else she and Shang Que would die together because Die Yi had poisoned Shang Que with the Butterfly poison.

When Shang Que arrived, Jieli immediately checked the sides of his neck to find a trace of the poison. Confused by her action, Shang Que asked what happened. Jieli said that she just looked for a lucky sign on him. Shang Que told him that recently he was depressed. Jieli hugged him and comforted him. She said that she would protect him.

Dongfang Qingcang had a meeting with his ministers. Shuiyuntian had 200,000 soldiers ready to attack them. Xunfeng said that they had failed to free their demon soldiers and suggested they retreat. But the other ministers did not agree with his plan. All of them wanted to take revenge on the Shuiyuntian.

Although the army of the moon tribe was weak, they were not afraid since the Moon Tribe always had their Moon Supreme Lord’s hellfire. Dongfang Qingcang did not say a word while Xunfeng looked at his brother, anticipating.
