Dear Readers, we meet again in Love Between Fairy and Devil episode recap. After Xiao Lan Hua died, Dongfang Qingcang was heartbroken. In these episodes 32 and 33, we’ve got to see how he dealt with heart break, and I learned that Changheng was quite mature than him. Changheng… you’ve got my heart this time…🥰 and we got a new character. Just for a few short scene, but he was quite cool.

Episode 32

Dongfang Qingcang was in a dangerous situation. His primordial spirit was trapped in a dream that slowly burned down his primordial spirit. And if the primordial spirits were gone, he would die. To prevent it Shang Que, Yunfeng, and the Kings of Ninth Yuoxian Country gave him their primordial spirit despite the imperial physician’s protest. Because if the primordial spirits backfired on them, they would be dead.

Rong Hao was having his dream fulfilled. He always wanted to have sword practice with his master in the bamboo forest. However, Chidi Nüzi could feel that there was more killing intent in his sword art. Chidi Nüzi told him not to be blinded by hatred since it would bring more wars.

Meanwhile, Dan Yin saw Changheng wanted to see Tianji Mirror. Dan Yin wanted to persuade him to stop thinking about the Goddess, but Changheng’s determination did not waver. He was sure that Xiao Lan Hua would return since the wedding between him and her at the Memory Loss River have not happened yet.

Changheng came to the Silent Moon Palace to help Dongfang Qingcang. Changheng knew that he was trapped in his own dream. He used his power to enter the dream. Before he left, he told Shang Que, Yunfeng, and the Kings that if Dongfang Qingcang did not return after an incense time, then they failed.

In his dream, Dongfang Qingcang and Xiao Lan Hua had been married for 500 years. They were happy. It was a blissful life that he could only dream of. Dongfang Qingcang saw the images of Changheng and Xiao Lan Hua’s wedding ceremony in Tianji Mirror. It made him angry and jealous that he threw his teacup.

Changheng arrived only to hear Dongfang Qingcang drove him away. He tried to put some sense in Dongfang QIngcang. Changheng told him that everything was fake and Xiao Lan Hua was dead. Dongfang Qingcang refuted his words. But he was stunned when Changheng told him that he knew a way to bring her back. And he was sure that she will be back because the Tianji Mirror was the proof.

Its prophecy never failed. Xiao Lan Hua came and heard the conversation. She was panicked and told Dongfang Qingcang to never leave her alone. She even kissed Dongfang Qingcang to change his mind.

Meanwhile, the fire that burned his primordial spirit was getting bigger. Changheng gave up and started to walk away from the hall when he saw Xunfeng, Shang Que, and the Kings channelling their primordial spirits without any hesitation. He turned back and helped them.

Dongfang Qingcang held Xiao Lan Hua who cried incessantly. She kept saying that she was real and begged him not to leave him. While the world around them started to crumble. When Xiao Lan Hua disappeared, Dongfang Qingcang woke up.

Rong Hao returned to Tai Sui’s realm. He was shocked because he should not be there at the place that was built when he was still a pure person. Tai Sui told him that he should be afraid of his master finding out the truth about what he did to her. Then Rong Hao woke up from his dream.

Xunfeng told Shang Que that he was the one who killed Xiao Lan Hua by taking her to the Xuanxu Realm and giving her the Chengying Sword. He also saw her commit suicide. Shang Que was confused because he also saw the lord of Haishi City killed Xiao Lan Hua. Xunfeng teased him. He was the one who drank the wine but it was Shang Que who was drunk.

Shang Que realized that Jieli has tricked him. And to add to his confusion, the imperial physician told him not to drink any wine because he just recovered from the butterfly poison. The physician told him that a few days ago he saw the remnants of the poison but it was healed completely. Therefore he did not tell him anything about it.

Shang Que remembered Jieli who searched for something on his nape. Jieli knew about the poison. Then she must be the one who detoxified it. But Shang Que was still confused about why she did that because she obviously came from Haishy city.

After she heard Rong Hao’s flute song, Chidi Nüzi asked Rong Hao whether he hid something from her. Rong Hao refused to tell her. Then, using her sword, Chidi Nüzi broke Rong Hao’s illusion. The lush green bamboo forest turned into a grey and dull one.

Chidi Nüzi was shocked. Rong Hao bitterly said that was their home after 30.000 years. Because the illusion was gone, the voices inside Chidi Nüzi’s returned to scream hatred and killing intent. Rong Hao helped her to erase the voices. He knew that he could not hide everything again.

Chidi Nüzi took Rong Hao to Shuiyuntian Water Pavillion where the court resides. She said that he was a criminal and he had to be punished. But he was not the only one, as her master, Chidi Nüzi also asked The Emperor to punish her as well. She asked the Emperor for death sentences as a repayment for the Goddess of Xishan, Xilan Clan, and all the war victims in three realms.

Rong Hao refused the punishment for his master. Lord Yunzhang said that they already lost the Goddess of Xishan, Shuiyuntian could not afford to lose a God of War. Although Shuiyuntian and The Moon Tribe was in truce, the 100,000 demon soldiers still posed a threat for Shuiyuntian. Therefore, she was asked to continue her job to protect Shuiyuntian. While Rong Hao was taken to the Karma Jail to wait for his punishment.

Jieli was captured by Die Yi and fed with her poison. Die Yi wanted to use her as a bargaining tool so Li Yuan could help her master again. It turned out that Jieli was his long-lost daughter and Dan Yin’s twin sister. Li Yuan refused but Die Yi threaten him with Jieli’s life because Die Yi was the only one who has the antidote for Jieli’s poison.

Li Yuan had no choice than to agree to her request. He could not afford to lose his daughter again. He took Jieli to his home and introduced her to Dan Yin who was shocked to learn that Jieli was her twin sister. She could not accept the news and gotten angry with her father.

Changheng took Dongfang Qingcang to Si Ming’s place. Xiao Lan Hua always believed that her master had wandered around in the human world for a thousand years. But in reality, Si Ming never went there. She was punished by the Emperor for releasing Chang Yuan, the dragon, and married him.

Right now she and her husband were imprisoned in another Arbiter Hall in the Destruction of Heaven. A place between the three realms. Only a few people knew she was there. Changheng never told Xiao Lan Hua about this because he did not want her to be sad. Dongfang Qingcang said that Si Ming already knew they would be there to help Xiao Lan Hua. She was the one who created fireflies to guide them and a boat that crossed them.

When they entered the Arbiter Hall, they saw a young man standing under the destiny tree. It was Chang Yuan the dragon. His bearing was hostile and and you can sense the dangerous aura around him. Suddenly, a beautiful and graceful woman came.

But the first thing she said was to order Chang Yuan to beat Dongfang Qingcang up. The Moon Supreme did not flinch or avoid the attack. Si Ming asked him why did he not avoid the attack. Dongfang Qingcang admitted that he was guilty. As long as Xiao Lan Hua could be resurrected, he would give his life. Then a hit would mean nothing to him.

Si Ming told them that there was a ray of Xiao Lan Hua’s primordial spirits inside Dongfang Qingcang’s primordial spirits. She accidentally planted it on him when they met at Haotian Power. Back then, Xiao Lan Hua used her goddess power to gather Dongfang Qingcang’s primordial spirit. To resurrect her, Dongfang Qingcang and Changheng have to extract her primordial spirits and plant them in the holy land of Xishan, and waited for her transformation.

When Si Ming told them to go, Changheng asked about the prophecy in Tianji Mirror. Although Dan Yin and Dongfang QIngcang saw the images, he could never see them. Si Ming said that the only person who could see the prophecy was the only one that could make it come true and the prophecy could not be changed. When they were about to leave the Arbiter Hall, Si Ming called Dongfang Qingcang. She gave him a leaf that she kept on her sleeve. It was Xiao Lan Hua’s destiny book.

Si Ming reminiscence her time with Xiao Lan Hua. Back then Xiao Lan Hua thought that she was just an ordinary grass. But Si Ming reassured her that she was not ordinary at all. Even if there were 10,000 orchid, she would recognize her disciple right away.

Episode 33

Changheng and Dongfang Qincang went to the holy land of Xishan to proceed with the process to resurrect Xiao Lan Hua. Changheng reminded Dongfang Qingcang that her primordial spirits were weak and the process must not be disrupted, or else Xiao Lan Hua would be in danger.

The process to extract Xiao Lan Hua’s primordial spirit from him was painful. Dongfang Qingcang had to persevere and must not be distracted. It was a long and arduous task for both of them, especially Dongfang Qingcang. But they did it successfully anyway. Xiao Lan Hua’s primordial spirits came in a form of orchid seed.

Dongfang Qingcang looked at the seed with happiness written all over his face. Changheng looked at his happy face with an indescribable feeling. Because he had to return to Shuiyuntian, Dongfang Qingcang would be the one that took care of it. He reassured him that he would guard it with his life. Changheng left afterward.

Dongfang Qingcang took care of the seed just like the way he did with Xiao Lan Hua back then in Shuiyuntian. He watered with dews and took it on to sunbathe. He waited and waited for it to transform. Finally, a bud rose from it. He also talked to the seed.

He told it that he met Si Ming and promised to take Xiao Lan Hua to meet her someday because he knew Xiao Lan Hua missed her master very much. He also told her that their personality was vastly different, but Xiao Lan Hua was gentler than her master. To guard the seed, Dongfang Qingcang always took the vase everywhere he went.

In the Xuanwu realm, Xiao Lan Hua woke up from her slumber. She talked with the ancient God of Xuanwu. Right now she remembered her identity and was ready for her fate. Xuanwu said that if she woke up as Xi Yun, she would have nothing to do with her past life as Xiao Lan Hua. She said that she understood the pain and love. She had seen what should be seen and lost what was meant to be lost.

As a goddess, she would take the responsibility of protecting all living beings in the three realms. Xuanwu said that she was gifted compared to previous goddesses. Not only did she have a mission, but she also had her true love. She would be the same as the first Goddess of Xishan who opened a new world. After that Xuanwu told her to go.

Dongfang Qingcang ran to follow flower petals that fled towards the pavilion. Xiao Lan Hua emerged from a swirl of flower petals. She went to the ruin of the Xilan clan and remembered everything that happened to her parents and clansmen.

Dongfang Qingcang saw her and called her. He was elated until Xiao Lan Hua hit him with her power. He was thrown several meters backwards. When he realized what had happened, he was shocked. Xiao Lan Hua stared at him with a blank expression and asked his identity.

Dongfang Qingcang thought she was just angry because of his lies and faults. Xiao Lan Hua ignored him and went to the pavilion. Because Dongfang Qingcang still followed her, she put a shield around the pavilion. She also told him that she was not Xiao Lan Hua. She was Xi Yun, the Goddess of Xishan. Dongfang Qingcang begged her not to ignore him.

Meanwhile, at the Shuiyuntian, Chidi Nüzi felt something was wrong with her when her eyes turned red and her killing intent suddenly become stronger.

Shang Que came to visit his master. Dongfang Qingcang told him that Xiao Lan Hua has lost her memory and did not remember him at all. Shang Que thought that Xiao Lan Hua might be just angry because of what happened last time. However, Dongfang Qingcang could not sense any anger.

She just did not care bout him anymore. Shang Que consoled him by saying that might be just temporary. Someday she would remember everything back. These words gave Dongfang Qingcang hope that they could start from the beginning again. This time, he really wanted to make her fall in love with him again.

Shang Que told him many things that he used to do in Shuiyuntian. The things that made Xiao Lan Hua fall in love with him. Dongfang Qingcang would try to do it again, so he could make her fall in love again. Dongfang Qingcang made another Arbiter Hall and took Xi Yun there. He apologized because he mistook her for someone he knew before. However, Xi Yun did not show any emotion when she saw the Arbiter Hall.

There were no ripples on her face although she said that she quite liked it. Dongfang Qingcang asked her to live there and wanted to be her servant. He introduced himself as Daqiang, a member of Shuiyuntian. But Xi Yun said that he lied because he did not have an aura of an immortal. However, she did not care and let him serve her.

Therefore, Dongfang Qingcang started his day as the servant of Xi Yun, the Goddess of Xishan. The person who always be served now be the one who serves…😆

Dongfang Qingcang made Xi Yun a flower soup and told her that the soup was good for her cultivation and strengthen her spirits. Dongfang Qingcang also gathered dews for her drink. He made everything according to Xiao Lan Hua’s preferences. However, Xi Yun refused everything. She said that she did not like sweets. Xi Yun told him that he should not make any decision for her. Dongfang Qingcang left dejectedly while Xi Yun continued to read. To vent his anger, he told Shang Que to finish the soup.

Dongfang Qingcang tried another way to get close to her but Xi Yun refused him again. This time she even told him not to bother her again. Dongfang Qingcang was disappointed again. Shang Que told him that he felt that Xi Yun was not Xiao Lan Hua. His words made Dongfang Qingcang angry. He was too stubborn to realize that Shang Que’s words were the truth.

The next day, Dongfang Qingcang knocked at Xi Yun’s room. He wanted to take her to sunbathe at the peak of the highest mountain in Xishan. Nobody answered him. Hence, he thought that Xi Yun was still asleep because Xiao Lan Hua also liked to wake up late. But when he almost peeked at her room, Xi Yun called him from behind. She scolded him harshly which made him sad.

She told him to stop disturbing her. When Dongfang Qingcang explained that he wanted to take her to Yaoguang Peak, Xi Yun sneered that it was already late to see the sunlight. Her morning always started at 5.15 AM. She would go to Yaoguang peak to meditate while basking in the sunlight. And she just came from the exact place for her morning routine. Spiritual practitioners should be diligent and disciplined, unlike him who was lazy.

Dongfang Qingcang poured out his sadness on Shang Que. He told him that Xi Yun was indeed different from Xiao Lan Hua. She did not like everything that Xiao Lan Hua used to like. Xiao Lan Hua was a gluttonous person who was lazy and loved to have some fun. Even though she was timid and afraid of many things such as darkness and loneliness, she always pretended to be strong.

Although she suffered, she still smiled at him. But Xi Yun was different. She did not like flower soup or dews. She did not need his company and never smiled at him. Dongfang Qingcang felt he was useless around her. The way she treated him just like he was a nuisance for her.

All of a sudden, Changheng appeared at the Arbiter Hall. He told Dongfang QIngcang that since Xiao Lan Hua has been reborn, then he should leave the holy land of Xishan. Moreover, he had hurt her so much that she refused to recognize him. Then, he should stop bothering her.

Dongfang Qingcang told him that Xiao Lan Hua has changed. His words caught Changheng off guard. Changheng went to see Xi Yun. She was extra polite to him. She also mentioned their marriage agreement. Xi Yun said that their marriage agreement has been delayed for 30,000 years. Now since she has regained her senses, it was time to settle the marriage.

The marriage between the Goddes of Xishan and Lord Dong’s lineage has been arranged for many generations since ancient times. After they have gotten married, they could continue to protect the three realms. Since she said that, Changheng should be happy that he was going to marry his fiancee. However, Changheng seemed unhappy.

When he walked through the door. Dongfang Qingcang sneered that Changheng must have been very happy that he would marry the girl that he always liked. Changheng rebuked his word. He said that he did not feel happy at all. He already gave up on her when they parted in the Cangyan Sea. Just like him, Changheng also wanted Xiao Lan Hua to return.

Meanwhile, in Shuiyuntian, Dan Yin visited Chidi Nüzi at her home. Dan Yin was very happy because she admired the First God of War since she was young. And because she was excited, Dan Yin chattered non-stop that it started to bother Chidi Nüzi. Without any word, she took her sword, slashed Dan Yin’s throat, and killed her.
