Episode 18

The Old Moon Supreme Lord was shocked to see his son was there. Dongfang Qingcang had a burst of anger. He yelled and blamed the Old Man for treating him like a tool to revive the Moon Tribe and made him bear the name of a son that killed his father. He vented his pent-up anger and frustration because of the old grudges. He even questioned whether the Old Man ever felt sad and brokenhearted for him.

The Old Moon Supreme Lord was surprised to see the anger. However, he only said that Dongfang Qingcang was young, strong, and talented. He believed that his son was able to master the Hellfire and he stated that Dongfang Qingcang was the only hope for the Moon Tribe’s survival. If he could turn back time, the Old Man would make the same decision. As the leader of a Tribe, he has no choice and must set aside his feeling as a father.

Xiao Lan Hua could not do anything or say any words. She just stood there trying to suppress her sadness.

The Old Moon Supreme Lord recalled what happened back then. When he received a report that Chidi Nüzi had led the Shuiyuntian army and attacked the Moon Tribe, they were helpless. The Shuiyuntian army killed many Moon Tribe soldiers. They had lost.

The Old Man’s tears rolled down his face. He said that he couldn’t bear to see him suffer, and that was the reason why he wanted Dongfang Qingcang to kill him. Dongfang Qingcang’s anger didn’t subside. Instead, he yelled at his father, accusing him of not being considerate of his feelings at all.

Xiao Lan Hua interrupted them. She asked why the Old Man wanted Dongfang Qingcang to kill him. The Old Man answered that it was hard to remove the emotions completely. If they returned, it would take thousands of years to have them completely removed again.

Besides the secret technique, killing a loved one was another way to remove the emotion instantly. Basically, it’s a short cut for Dongfang Qingcang. The Old Man felt that his sacrifice was worth it. He also said that the recovery of Dongfang Qingcang’s emotional roots made him feel the pain.

I could see the guilt on Xiao Lan Hua’s face. She probably understands Dongfang Qingcang’s situation right now.

The Old Man persuaded him that he could do it again. He reminded him that if Dongfang Qingcang did not destroy his emotional roots, he will suffer the pain. Dongfang Qingcang could not escape the pain forever. So, the Old Man urged him to destroy his soul again and again.

Xiao Lan Hua berated him, she was angry to hear Xunfeng’s words. She asked Xunfeng whether he knew Dongfang Qingcang’s sufferings or the truth between his brother and their father. All this time he only cared for himself. Xiao Lan Hua gave him the Cloud Shadow Mirror.

Dongfang Qingcang’s condition was worse. The physician said the lightning strikes were strong. And although Dongfang Qingcang’s life was not in danger. He still needed some time to recuperate.

Xunfeng pledged his loyalty to Dongfang Qingcang. The two brothers finally reconciled after thousands of years. Xunfeng said that he was there to tell Dongfang Qingcang the truth about Haishi City.

30,000 years ago when Dongfang Qingcang’s death was spread all over the Cangyan Sea, The Southern and Nothern Youxian County had mutinies one after another. They intended to take over the Ninth Youxian County. Xunfeng was anxious about the situation. Suddenly a mysterious man came to him.

He was the Lord of Haishi City. Back then, Xunfeng did not know who he was and where he came from. However, the mysterious man told him that as long as Xunfeng helped him build the Haishi City, he would help him to control the Kings of Southern and Northern Youxian County.

Dongfang Qingcang could guess the rest of the story. He still blamed Xunfeng for putting the fate of Ninth Youxian County in the hand of an unknown person. Xunfeng did not say a word. He knew his mistakes. Dongfang Qingcang wondered if Lord Haishi City was involved in the Great War because the timing was right. The War ended 30,000 years ago, and he suddenly appeared at exactly the same time.

Dongfang Qingcang and Xunfeng analyze that the Lord of Haishi City’s intention was to keep the Moon Tribe fighting each other without a significant result. The fights between the kings caused long civil unrest in the Cangyan Sea. People suffered and the power of the Moon Tribe reduce to nothing. Xunfeng regretted his foolishness and told his brother that he should not pardon him back then.

However, Dongfang Qingcang refutes his words. He did not pardon Xunfeng for his mistakes. Dongfang Qingcang ordered Xunfeng to win every battle to compensate for his mistakes. Xunfeng promised. He still wanted to say something to his brother, probably about their father. But Dongfang Qingcang excused him. Xunfeng understood that he did not want to talk about it. He left afterward.

Our couple spends some time together on the gazebo. Xiao Lan Hua told him that Xunfeng might misunderstand his action back then. Jieli teased Xiao Lan Hua because she thought the Demon Lord was cute. She actually shows the little orchid that she had fallen in love with the Moon Supreme Lord.

Dongfang Qingcang practices his smile in the mirror when Xunfeng came. Dongfang Qingcang gave him a mission to find Xie Wanqing, the reincarnation of Chidi Nuzi, in Yunmeng Lake and brought her to Xuanxu Realm. Then placed her primordial spirit on Shuofeng sword to release the 10,000 demon soldiers.

However, Dongfang Qingcang remembered something. He stares at Xunfeng and lifts his arm. Xunfeng swallowed his saliva, he probably thought his brother would hit him. But Dongfang Qingcang only wanted to pat Xunfeng’s shoulder and remind him that he was still injured. Therefore, he must be careful. Xunfeng smiled at his brother before he left.

Shang Que who watched them grinned from ear to ear.

Jieli and Shang Que stared at Xiao Lan Hua who praised Dongfang Qinggcang as a man who knows forgiveness, kindness, and mercy. Shang Que asked her if Dongfang Qingcang has changed, would he still be Moon Supreme Lord? Since ancient times, Yannv has passed an ancient belief that only a tough general who never gives up hatred would be the key to the survival of the Moon Tribe.

Suddenly, the subject of their conversation came. jieli and Shang Que immediately retreated. Xiao Lan Hua smiled at him. Dongfang Qingcang came to ask for the flower cake because he has finished his medicine without a single drop left.

Dongfang Qingcang told her the custom of the Moon Tribe. If you wanted to thank others, you should put your blood on their faces. Episode 19

The Moon Supreme smiled when he saw the cinnabar on Xiao Lan Hua’s cheek. He commented that she had become a girl from Moon Tribe. Nobody would recognize her as a fairy from Shuiyuntian. The little orchid was blushing, she shyly asked why he thanked her. Dongfang Qingcang answered that she had changed him. He felt like a different person right now.

Dongfang Qingcang said that he used to be ignorant. Now, he understood his father’s love for him and Xiao Lan Hua’s pain because she could not return home. Therefore, he decided to destroy the Shuiyuntian, kill Lord Yunzhong and everybody that used to insult her and take back her home. Xiao Lan Hua’s heart seemed to stopped.

She immediately told him she was not feeling good and needed some rest alone to drive the Demon Lord to go.

Dongfang Qingcang took the orchid plant that Xiao Lan Hua wanted to give him. Meanwhile, Xiao Lan Hua was disappointed because she thought everything would be different. She scolded herself for being too confident and thought that she alone could change the Moon Supreme Lord.

Shang Que asked for forgiveness because he could not find the last fragments of Changying sword. Every time he thought that his master would kill Xiao Lan Hua with that sword, he felt bothered. However, Dongfang Qingcang still forgive him and told him to throw away the fragments. Shang Que met Xunfeng while he was carrying the fragments.

Xunfeng asked him to give him the sword. It was such a waste to throw things away. He intended to find the last fragment. Shang Que hesitated when he heard that Xunfeng wanted to look for the last fragment. He immediately said that the last fragment had been destroyed into powder.

All this time, after what happened in Memory Loss River, Changheng was prisoned in Haotian Tower. Danyin came to visit him, she said that she missed him. Changheng insisted that his love for Xiao Lan Hua wouldn’t waver. He regretted that he was too cowardly to approach her and protect her. He had let her be disappointed with him and Shuiyuntian.

Danyin persuaded him to apologize to Lord Yunzhong so he could get out of the Haotian Tower. Her remark irked Changheng. He didn’t feel that he was at fault there. Loving someone and wanting to protect her was not a crime. Danyin told Changheng that he did not have to be worry. Danyin told him that she once saw him marrying Xiao Lan Hua as mortals in Yunmeng Lake.

Changheng begged her to help him out. He planned to jump from Shenshui Hall and experience hardship in the mortal world. Danyin was stunned and called him crazy. The calamities in the mortal world were unpredictable, and if he could not complete his fate he would turn into ashes and never return to Shuiyuntian. Changheng begged and begged.

Dongfang Qingcang suddenly showed up and wrapped her in a blanket. He also did not forget to scold her. He told her that she was a Xishan orchid. He took care of her according to the book, and everything worked perfectly. It a solid proof that she was a Xishan orchid. Xiao Lan Hua told him about the ancient Turtle God, and now she was desperate to know her true form.

Dongfang Qingcang comforted Xiao Lan Hua. He told her that he didn’t care about her true form. All he cared about was the fact that Xiao Lan Hua was the most important person and the one he cared about the most. He wanted her to stay with him forever.

Xiao Lan Hua immediately rejected him. She was a fairy from Shuiyuntian, he was the Moon Supreme Lord who wanted to destroy Shuiyuntian and killed everyone. Dongfang Qingcang said that the fairies of Shuiyuntian accused her to be a traitor. Why did she still treat them as her people? the little orchid stated that she won’t betray Shuiyuntian nor betray him. Dongfang Qingcang asked her what did she want.

Xiao Lan Hua explained that there was a huge gap between them. It was impossible to have any affection or loyalty between them. She suggested he stop putting effort into her because she did not deserve the honor. Dongfang Qingcang refuted her words. She had stayed by his side and do many things for him. There must be some affection and loyalty.

Dongfang Qingcang was angry, she was the one who revive the Love tree, but now she changed. Xiao Lan Hua reminded him that he was the Moon Supreme Lord, he had to fulfill his promise to his late father and the people of the Moon Tribe. And she was the fairy from Shuiyuntian. She could not give up on Shuiyuntian and he could not let go of his hatred. The couple parted in agony.

Xunfeng found the Chidi Nuzi reincarnation. She was just a baby. When Dongfang Qingcang tried to take her primordial spirit, he remembered Xiao Lan Hua who praised him for having kindness and mercy. When Xunfeng did the same, he stopped him, took the primordial spirit, and returned it to the baby. They were confused when the primordial spirit did not vanish after being taken out from the body.

Xiao Lan Hua explained the Destiny book and the Destiny tree to Jieli.

Destiny’s book was like a novel in Yunmeng lake, and the fate poems was the stories inside the book. The fate poems shows the key events that must happened in one’s life. Every immortal and mortal had one book where their destiny is written. When an immortal experiences hardships as a mortal, there were different fates in each life.

They must follow the fate poems and go through everything that is bound to happen. Then, it could be considered a success. If they failed, it would damage their cultivation, or worst, turn them into ashes and they never to return to the immortal worlds ever again. A senior immortal with powerful cultivation would suffer more dangerous hardships. If powerful immortals experience hardships and died as a baby, his/her primordial spirit would vanish.

That explained the case of Chidi Nuzi’s primordial spirit. Did Jieli was there when Dongfang Qingcang and Xunfeng tried to take the primordial spirit of the baby?

Xiao Lan Hua asked why Jieli started to be curious about this fact. She never listened to her story. But Jieli did not answer and told her to clean another room.

Suddenly Dongfang Qingcang and Shang Que appeared. They had been hiding there, listening to Xiao Lan Hua’s conversation. Dongfang Qingcang had ordered Jieli to ask around the Destiny book to her. Jieli begged him to stop threatening to kill her, but the Demon Lord ignored her.

Dongfang brothers were analyzing the poem of fate from Chidi Nuzi’s Destiny book. Xie Wanqing (Chidi Nüzi’s identity as a mortal) was a dancer in Luocheng City. She would meet her Mr. Right and get married. However, her husband would kill her on their wedding night. According to fate, the Dongfang brothers should wait for her wedding night to get the primordial spirit.

Xunfeng asked his brother why did he keep the fairy even though the Destiny book has been repaired. But Dongfang Qingcang said that he has his own reason. He then ordered Xunfeng to deliver the baby to Lucheng City.

Meanwhile, Xiao Lan Hua thought that something was strang with Jieli’s questions. She was able to guess that it was Dongfang Qingcang who told her to ask. And all the question was related to Xie Wanqing. She concluded that Xie Wanqing was a senior immortal who experience hardships. Xiao Lan Hua wrote the fate poem of Xie Wanqing on a piece of paper.

Amazingly she remembered it all. Xiao Lan Hua might be weak, but if she works harder, she might be an amazing disciple from Arbiter Hall. 👍

Xie Wanqing had a terrible fate of being killed by the one she loves forever. Xiao Lan Hua recalled her dream when she was with her parents. But now, there was an addition. A beautiful girl in white clothes.

Who knew that Dongfang Qingcang would buy her lies? In the middle of the road, Shang Que and Jieli parted ways with the lord and the little orchid. Giving them some time alone.

Jieli saved Shang Que from a deceitful sugar figurine seller. Shang Que wanted to buy the figurine for Jieli who loves to eat sweets. His words touched Jieli. She immediately made a promise that with her around him, he would never be cheated by others. She would be the only person who could cheat him…🤦🏻‍♀️

Dongfang Qingcang and Xiao Lan Hua stop to drink tea in a tea stall. Xiao Lan Hua thanked Dongfang Qingcang for letting her stay by his side and not blaming her although she made him angry a few days ago. However, the Moon Lord was someone who hold a grudge. He told her that since Xiao Lan Hua said that they were not friends, he could not blame her. Right now, she was just another additional person to serve him. She better keep silent and not say empty words.

Jieli came and gave those immortals some insight. Dongfang Qingcang, Xiao Lan Hua, and Shang Que realized that they knew nothing about Yunmeng lake, its rules, and its people. Jieli emphasized that they should not attract attention (She said that while staring at the Demon Lord). Furthermore, Xiao Lan Hua added that the Yunmeng lake had its own destiny. Neither fairies nor Moon Tribe people was allowed to interfere with the fate of the mortals. If the immortals act impulsively, it will lead to their primordial spirits turning into ashes.

Dongfang Qingcang pondered Xiao Lan Hua’s words. If they interfere the Chidi Nüzi’s fate, it would be troublesome. Xiao Lan Hua and Jieli made a move that was quite clever. Xiao Lan Hua blamed Jieli for speaking nonsense about the Moon supreme Lord. She should not belittle him and compared him with mere mortals. This was too hard on him. Dongfang Qingcang bit the bait. He agreed to turn into a mortal and show them that even as a mortal, he was still the best among them. The Demon Lord asked Jieli how to be a mortal.

To begin with, Jieli told him that he should not use or show any magic. In addition, he should stop being a Moon Supreme, because Yunmeng Lake already had an Emperor. And there is only one emperor in the entire country. Dongfang Qingcang intended to kill him so he could be the Emperor…😅

Xiao Lan Hua and Jieli frantically stopped his way of thinking. Jieli proposed an idea for the great Dongfang Qingcang’s identity. The last step to complete their disguise was to buy a mansion and some clothes. So Dongfang Qingcang bought a grand mansion and took the rest of them to live there.

Xiao Lan Hua and the rest would stay for a few months in Yunmeng Lake… I was sooooo excited!!!
