Hi dear readers… I’m back with another Love Between Fairy and Devil episode recap. In these episodes 6-7, we will unveil the secret identity of the Lord of Haishi city. I’m excited because I do have some suspicions about him. But before we find out the truth, let’s start with some new characters.

New Characters Appearance

Lord Shan Sheng

Lord Shan Sheng or Aunt Shan Sheng was one of the lords in Shuiyuntian. She was always standing side by side with Li Yuan. Shan Sheng was famous for her benevolent nature.

Fairy Danyin

As the only daughter of Lord Li Yuan, Danyin was the strongest and most talented young fairy in the Shuiyuntian. She was born noble, and it made her arrogant. She often bullied the weak, especially Xiao Lan Hua. Danyin’s heart was already set on Lord Changheng. She would do anything to get close to him.

Fairy Yulin

Yulin was another arrogant fairy who often bullied Xiao Lan Hua. But contrasted to Danyin who still has some good in her, Yulin was harder to deal with because of her envious nature.

Episode Recap

Episode 6

Dongfang Qingcang has a new mission right now. He must find a way to make the little orchid happy. But the demon lord was at a loss to complete the mission.

Dongfang Qingcang asked Xiao Lan Hua what she liked and wanted. Xiao Lan Hua immediately answered she wanted him to return to Haotian Tower. Of course, Dongfang Qingcang refused it immediately. She also offered him to fix the broken Destiny book as long as he returned to the Haotian Tower. But still, he rejected the idea.

Dongfang Qingcang’s refusal made Xiao Lan Hua think he was looking for a reason to stay with her. Her misinterpretation leads her to the conclusion that she should not let him fall deeper in love with her.

Xiao Lan Hua said she wanted to pass the immortal examination. The exam is held once every 100 years. If she passed the exam, she would get a promotion. However, she must fight and subdue a demon creature to pass the exams. Xiao Lan Hua regretted that her power was too weak. That was why she drank the elixir that made her terribly ill.

For Dongfang Qingcang, Xiao Lan Hua was stupid. She risked her life for the sake of serving tea to an immortal. But for Xiao Lan Hua it was worth it because the little orchid could have a position at Lord Changheng’s Fountain Palace if she passed the exam. She then explained the greatness of her idol, Lord Changheng.

Of course, our demon lord was not impressed. He even calls Changheng the best of the worst. Xiao Lan Hua bragged that if only Changheng were born early, he would join the battle with the Moon Tribe and beat up Dongfang Qingcang because he was no match for the great Changheng.

Dongfang Qingcang firmly said that a young boy like Changheng did not deserve to be compared to the Moon Supreme. However, Xiao Lan Hua accused him of being jealous of Changheng and continued to brag about Changheng. She said that Changheng was the dream lover of every fairy in Shuiyuntian. Dongfang Qingcang easily guessed that Changheng must be the one she liked.

Xiao Lan Hua coaxed Dongfang Qingcang to find another beauty he liked, so he could stop pestering her. Dongfang Qingcang only said that Xiao Lan Hua was the most special one. Xiao Lan Hua was desperate to the point it made her angry. She yelled at Dongfang Qingcang that she only liked Changheng and not him. She hoped that the one at her side was Changheng and not him. Dongfang Qingcang was confused because of the sudden outburst.

Meanwhile, at Haishi City, Die Yi reported to her master that the Destiny book was stoled by a small fairy from Arbiter hall. The Lord of Haishi City tells her to kill Xiao Lan Hua during the immortal exam to avoid suspicion.

That morning, Xiao Lan Hua was shocked when she opened her eyes. Changheng was standing near her bed. Hastily she got up and greeted him. She thought that Changheng was there for some business reason. Xiao Lan Hua was elated when Changheng said that he was there to accompany her. Xiao Lan Hua was happy until she realized that he was not Changheng. It was Dongfang Qingcang who pretended to be Changheng.

The little Orchid yelled and scolded Dongfang Qingcang for making fun of her. But Dongfang Qingcang did not understand why she was angry because he only did a thing to make her happy. And yesterday Xiao Lan Hua said that she wanted Changheng to stay beside her and not him.

This scene cracked me up. The great demon lord was a hopeless man…

In the Shuyu forest, a fairy named Danyin was practicing her magic. Her father, Lord Li Yuan persuaded her to stop attending the exam. He said that Danyin was born as his daughter and a noble person. She did not need to take the exam. But Danyin refuted him. She understood that her father only wanted to stop her from entering the Fountain Pavilion.

Li Yuan explained to her that Changheng already had a fiancee. Lord Yunzhong himself arranged the engagement between Changheng and the Goddess of Xishan. If Changheng fell in love with Danyin, it would be a misfortune for her. But Danyin did not believe his words.

Danyin went to the Arbiter Hall and demanded to see her book of Destiny. She wanted to know if she was destined to be with Changheng or not. However, Xiao Lan Hua refused to show her the book. Danyin threatened her with her magic. The little orchid was scared, but she still rejected her demand. The angry Danyin throws the magic into the Destiny tree.

The tree shook, and many leaves fell from it. Xiao Lan Hua panicked and picked up those falling leaves. Danyin’s power spread on the trunk and activated the Tianji Mirror. Danyin took a peek in the mirror. She saw two weddings of Changheng’s. One was in the Shuiyuntian, and the other happened in Yunmeng lake. She saw herself as an onlooker. When she peeked at the bride’s face, she was surprised to see Xiao Lan Hua’s face on Changheng’s newly wedded wife.

Danyin was heartbroken. She asked Xiao Lan Hua whether the images shown in the mirror were real or not. Orchid’s answer made her down because Xiao Lan Hua said that everything that appeared on Tianji Mirror was bound to happen.

The next day, Xiao Lan Hua joined other fairies to prepare for the exam. Two of her bullies, Danyin and Yulin were there too. Danyin looked at her fiercely, and Yulin belittled her.

Lord Shan Sheng told them that on this exam, Changheng would be the judge while Lord Yunzhong would be the supervisor. All of the fairies were excited when Changheng appear on the platform.

This scene looked like an idol meet and greet event. Those fairies should bring a lightstick to cheer on Changheng…

Rong Hao is also there to accompany his best friend Changheng. Rong Hao playfully asked Changheng whether his beloved one was among the fairies. His question made Changheng reminisce about a conversation with Xiao Lan Hua.

Changheng and Xiao Lan Hua were talking about stars. Xiao Lan Hua wished to take a star and hang it as her lantern at night. Changheng said that in Beiming, there was a spirit stone called the Magical Firefly Stone. It could shine like a star at night. He also said he would give it to her. That’s why, when they meet again, Changheng intentionally drops the stone for Xiao Lan Hua.

He was such a sweet person, indeed…

The Emperor seemed to be eavesdropping on Changheng and Rong Hao’s conversation. Changheng hushed Rong Hao and told him that he would throw him out if he talk nonsense.

Lord Shan Sheng conveyed the rules of the exam. To pass the exam, every candidate must subdue a beast with a demon pill before sunset. Changheng personally handed out the demon pills to every candidate. When it was Xiao Lan Hua’s turn, he whispered “be careful” to her.

Lord Shan Sheng asked the candidates who wants to be the first fairy to enter the forest. Everybody was hesitating until Danyin step forward to be the first. But suddenly, someone pushed Xiao Lan Hua to the front. She landed in front of Danyin. Therefore, Lord Shan Sheng decided that she would be the first one. The little orchid was shocked. It was our demon lord who pushed the pitiful orchid.…😅

Dongfang Qingcang was ready to take care of Xiao Lan Hua during the exam.

Well, you could see that Dongfang Qingcang’s power was stronger than the fairies in Shuiyuntian. Even in the presence of the Emperor and the God of War, nobody could sense Dongfang Qingcang and Shang Que were among them.

Shang Que reported that there were nine beasts inside the forest. Dongfang Qingcang orders him to lure the weakest one to Xiao Lan Hua. Therefore, Shang Que put a small cute beast near Xiao Lan Hua. But she was too focused on listening to the sound of the beasts inside the forest. She did not even see the small beast that Shang Que put near her. Dongfang Qingcang was fuming to see Xiao Lan Hua’s foolishness.

Shuiyuntian’s lords watched the candidates closely through the Tianji Mirror, a sort of magical CCTV in the Shuiyuntian. They watched Xiao Lan Hua lure Ying Zhao with a grass called Hound’s Tongue.

Lord Shan Sheng praised her for being smart. But Changheng’s praise was more over the top. He said that Ying Zhao could sense a pure and kind soul. Rong Hao looked at him secretly. He reckons whether Changheng’s loved one was that little orchid.

When Xiao Lan Hua almost subdue Ying Zhao, Danyin and several fairies came and surrounded her. Danyin told her that she wanted the beast and Xiao Lan Hua should not catch any beast and should not join any exam at all. But Xiao Lan Hua, who used to be submissive, was adamant to reject Danyin’s demand. The group started to gang up on her. Changheng was worried but he could do nothing about it.

Danyin uses her magic to take the little orchid down, but Xiao Lan Hua was able to hold back the attack and force Danyin to step back. Danyin was angry and told the fairies to attack Xiao Lan Hua. But again, Xiao Lan Hua was able to hold back the attack and made all the fairies fall to the ground. Everybody, including Xiao Lan Hua, was shocked. It turned out Dongfang Qingcang secretly transmitted his power through Xiao Lan Hua.

Die Yi bought an evil spirit with her. Dongfang Qingcang could sense the presence of evil spirits. He went to find it and left Shang Que to protect Xiao Lan Hua. Die Yi was ready to release the evil spirit, but before that, she tampered with the Tianji Mirror so the lords can not see what happened inside the forest.

The evil spirit posessed Ying Zhao and turned it into a giant beast. Xiao Lan Hua screamed when she saw Ying Zhao. She ran for her life because Ying Zhao chased her. The lords saw this through the broken Tianju Mirror. They were shocked. Changheng wanted to help, but Rong Hao held him back.

Thank God, Shang Que was there to help Xiao Lan Hua. Ying Zhao changes its target to Danyin and her group. Danyin tried to subdue Ying Zhao but she failed. When Ying Zhao almost attack her, Xiao Lan Hua helped Danyin.

While in another group, Yulin refused to help Danyin and thought it was a good chance for her to win the exam.

Xiao Lan Hua leads the girls to hide inside a tree log. She had an idea to distract Ying Zhao while Danyin and others called Lord Shnagsheng to save them. She also collects the demon pills from other girls because Ying Zhao was a giant, and a single pill would not affect it. Soon after Ying Zhao has gone, Danyin and the other fairies come to Lord Shan Sheng, begging her to help the little orchid.

When he heard the report from Danyin, Chanheng immediately went. The other lords followed him. They split up inside the Shuyu forest to find the beast.

Changheng’s face was full of worries. He called her name over and over to find her. Xiao Lan Hua was too tired that she could not run anymore. When Ying Zhao attacked her, suddenly she was surrounded by a blue ray.

Did you get the color code? Dongfang Qingcang’s power was blue ray, whilst Xiao Lan Hua’s Goddes of Xishan’s power was green.

Episode 7

The blue ray was Dongfang Qingcang’s power. He protected Xiao Lan Hua from Ying Zhao’s attack. When Dongfang Qingcang took out his hellfire sword to kill the beast, Xiao Lan Hua stopped him. She could not bear to see Ying Zhao dead. Xiao Lan Hua pushed Dongfang Qingcang and even took his sword and threw it to the ground. Then she treated Ying Zhao’s wound and used a demon pill to subdue it.

Ahahahahah you should see Dongfang Qingcang’s expression. He was shocked to see the foolish orchid throw his precious sword just like that… 🤣

Dongfang Qingcang sensed Die Yi’s presence and threw some magic at her. Die Yi morphed into a purple butterfly.

Dongfang Qingcang questioned Xiao Lan Hua about why she stopped him from killing the beast. Xiao Lan Hua taught him that being benevolent was human nature. Dongfang Qingcang said that her human nature made her weak and put her at risk. To prevent that, he would remove Xiao Lan Hua’s benevolent nature completely. Of course, Xiao Lan Hua refused the idea. She explained to Dongfang Qingcang that an emotionless human was like a tree without leaves or a flower that never blooms.

However, according to Dongfang Qingcang, if humans did not have any emotions, they could judge the pro and cons better. If humans did not have any pity, they would not put themselves in danger, just like she did when she helped Danyin. Xiao Lan Hua explained to him, that if they only thought about their safety, Ying Zhao would eat them and they would die. Instead, they took pity on each other and didn’t want to see others die. Therefore, they could work together and escape the calamity. Emotions were not a burden, it was the reason that made them survive.

Dongfang Qingcang was stunned to hear her words. It brings back the memory of pain when his emotions were stripped out of him.

Lord Changheng was looking for Xiao Lan Hua. She was panicked because Dongfang Qingcang was there, so she urged him to go. The worried Changheng held her arms and asked about her condition. Not long after, Lord Li Yuan, Lord Shan Sheng, and Rong Hao come. Li Yuan questioned Xiao Lan Hua. He was suspicious about how Xiao Lan Hua could escape and thought she must hide something. Changheng and Rong Hao helped her by easing Li Yuan’s anger.

Suddenly, Rong Hao saw something. It was the evil spirit from Ying Zhao. All of them were alarmed because evil spirits should not appear in Shuiyuntian. They speculate that there might be a sinful immortal who is still on the loose.

The playful Rong hao scrutinized Xiao Lan Hua. He was curious to know about Changheng’s love interest. He asked her whether she was Si Ming’s disciple and did she missed her like he missed his master.

The evil spirit that possessed Ying Zhao was a big mystery for Changheng, Li Yuan, and Rong Hao. To refine an evil spirit, it would need a lot of primordial spirit of the dead and a Soul Transformations Cauldron. The cauldron was already lost since ancient times. Since then, the evil spirit also has vanished for thousands of years. But how could an evil spirit suddenly appear in Shuiyuntian?

It seemed the cauldron in the Haishi City was top secret because even Changheng didn’t know its existence.

Because Li yuan has locked the Spirit Lock Gate, Shuiyuntian was closed. Nobody could get in or get out of it. Including the wounded Die Yi. When she was looking for a way out, she was captured by someone.

It was Rong Hao. All this time, he has a double identity as the Haishi City lord. He was angry with Die Yi because she could not finish her mission. But when he saw Die Yi’s wound, Rong Hao was shocked. It was hellfire that cause it.

Meanwhile, in the Arbiter Hall, Xiao Lan Hua gets a message telling her she won first place. But it did not make her happy because she felt guilty for hiding Dongfang Qingcang and lying to Changheng.

Dongfang Qingcang was angry toward Shang Que because he left Xiao Lan Hua alone. He pondered about the evil spirit from the Shuyu forest. Dongfang Qingcang linked the evil spirit, Haishi City, and Xiao Lan Hua. He concluded that somebody from Haishi City wanted to kill Xiao lan Hua using the evil spirit.

Presumably, Xiao Lan Hua knew the secret of Chidi Nüzi’s destiny book. Dongfang Qingcang concludes, that the destiny book of Chidi Nüzi was hidden inside the city, and Haishi City was formed when Chidi Nüzi experience hardship in Yunmeng lake. It seemed that the Lord of Haishi City was a keeper of Chidi Nüzi’s primordial spirit.

Xiao Lan Hua questioned Dongfang Qingcang about his presence in the Shuyu forest. She was suspicious that he was the one who brought the evil spirit with him. Dongfang Qingcang refutes her words. He did not need to use dirty tricks such as evil spirits to kill everyone in the Shuyu forest. But Xiao Lan Hua did not believe him. She thought that she was too soft-hearted for him. She forced Dongfang Qingcang to come with her to find Changheng and turn himself in. The Xilan seal activated again when Xiao Lan Hua orders him to go with her.

Shang Que persuades him to explain everything to Xiao Lan Hua. Dongfang Qingcang must not turn himself in because they still have a plan to accomplish. Dongfang Qingcang refused to explain, but he gave up in the end. He told Xiao Lan Hua that he went to the Shuyu forest to help her pass the exam. Dongfang Qingcang stated that if the little orchid died, he would die too. He emphasized that Xiao Lan Hua’s life was as important as his life.

His explanation made Xiao Lan Hua dispirited because she realized that she did not pass the exam by herself. Xiao Lan Hua wanted to confess to Lord Shan Sheng. But if she does that, the people in Shuiyuntian would find out about Dongfang Qingcang’s presence, and he would be brought back to Haotian Tower. Xiao Lan Hua was hesitant because of that.

In Haishi City, Rong Hao was playing a flute. There was a woman with him. Her face was like Chidi Nüzi, but it was only a disguise.

Dongfang Qingcang remembers his father’s words about seven emotions. Joy, worry, sadness, love, hate, pity, and jealousy. Those who did not have any emotions would not have any weaknesses. They would be more decisive and would become the strongest person in the three realms. But his father’s words were in contrast to Xiao Lan Hua’s words which said emotions were not a burden because they helped her to survive. Xiao Lan Hua’s words brought back his emotional roots to life.

Xiao Lan Hua found a firefly in her garden. She lured it into the spirit stone that Changheng gave her. She decided to return the stone to Changheng.

Rong Hao comes into the empty Haotian tower. He brought Die Yi with him. Rong Hao told her that 30,000 years ago to stabilize the three realms, Dongfang Qingcang’s body was not destroyed. He was the real immortal because his primordial spirit could not reincarnate. Dongfang Qingcang was sealed in the tower after his primordial spirit was scattered.

When Xiao Lan Hua was sucked into the tower, she broke the seal and gathered his spirit. Die Yi asked him how could she do that because, in the three realms, only the Goddess of Xishan could restore a soul. Her word made him realize something. Rong Hao orders her to tell him in detail, what exactly happened in the Shuyu forest.

Meanwhile, in Yujing, Xiao Lan Hua met Danyin and her group. Danyin forbids Xiao Lan Hua from canceling the exam result because she deserves the honors. It seemed that when Xiao Lan Hua saved her, Danyin changed her opinion about Xiao Lan Hua. She even defended the little orchid when Yulin mocked her.

When Xiao Lan Hua met Changheng, she wanted to give the spirited stone to him. But Changheng said that the firefly already chose her as its master because she was the first person who fed it. He persuades her to keep the stone. Xiao Lan Hua happily complied with his words.

She took the stone when she went to the forest. Unbeknownst to her, Yulin spied on her since she met with Changheng up until she went to the forest. Yulin secretly switches the Magical Firefly Stone with an ordinary stone. But when Yulin put the stone in her hand, it shook and would not light up. Yulin was scared because of that.

Xiao Lan Hua met Rong Hao who asked for her help. His Ice Jade plant was withering, and he needed little orchid’s help to revive its vitality. Xiao Lan Hua agrees to help him. She transferred her power to the plant, but she didn’t realize that the power was the Goddess of Xishan’s power.

She returned the plant to Rong Hao who was spacing out to see the plant.

Rong Hao uses the plant to prove something. He put some evil spirit inside the plant to test whether Xiao Lan Hua was the Goddess of Xishan or not. His suspicion was confirmed when he saw a purified evil spirit in the plant. The only person who could purify evil spirits was the Goddess of Xishan.

Rong Hao went to a small courtyard where he kept the body of Chidi Nüzi. All this time he kept her with him. Rong Hao’s intention to help his master was firm. He would co anyhting to bring her back to life.
