Qiu Jin Xiang was the owner of Fengyu Finance. He was Yang Hua’s first mentor and boss. Their relationship was good at first but then after an incident, it got sour and ended with Yang Hua leaving his company.

Episode 23
Qin Shi’s smiles had disturbed Tao Jun Hui. He told her to stop looking at her phone. Qin Shi gritted her teeth and decided to be frank with him. She said that Tao Jun Hui and Wu Fei have succeeded to humiliate her. At the moment, she was in an awkward position because her direct supervisor, Lawyer Jin, was too busy and she only had a chance to meet him twice.
Before Qin Shi finished her speech, Tao Jun Hui immediately knew that she would ask for his guidance. He said that all these years, Qin Shi hasn’t changed a bit only a tad more shameless than before. However, he did not refuse her request and gave her a pile of files for Qin Shi to read and worked on. He told her that he would be back to check on her work.
Meanwhile, Yang Hua was disgusted by the thing that Mother Qin brought: a pig brain. She said that pig brain was one of the delicacies that Qin Shi loved to eat. Mother Qin disregarded Yang Hua’s horrified expression and taught Yang Hua to cook several kind of pig brain dishes. When the dishes were ready, she also told him to try them all. Yang Hua had no choice but to eat them because Qin Shi said that her mother did not like a picky eater. Poor Yang Hua must pluck up the courage to taste the pig brain…😂
Tao Jun Hui went home to eat dinner with his mother. Mrs. Tao mentioned that since the housing price was stable, it was the perfect time to buy one. Tao Jun Hui refuted her words and told her that he only has a little amount of money in his bank account. Mrs. Tao regretted the apartment that he gave to Qin Shi.

Wu Fei pouted and told him Tao Jun Hui never receive the agreement because she did not give it to him. She told her father that her relationship was based on true love and they did not need that kind of agreement. Wu Fei accused her father that he had used Mr. Ding’s case to warn her and Tao Jun Hui.
She threatened her father that if he did it purposely, they would not take the case. Wu Wei Song had to coax his daughter. He said that if they did not want to sign it, then so be it. He also said that Wu Fei had wrongfully accused him regarding Mr. Ding’s case. At that time Mr. Ding needed a lawyer and Wu Wei Song told him that he had a son-in-law who was a lawyer and recommended Tao Jun Hui to him. Wu Fei believed his father’s words.
After she left the room, Wu Wei Song called Tang Yi Hui. Everything had happened according to her prediction. He was sure that if Wu Fei could realize his intention with Mr. Ding’s case then Tao Jun Hui must have realized it earlier. He was afraid that Lan Xiao Ting’s case would befall Wu Fei someday. Therefore he had to make sure that she would not be cheated and that his lifetime hard-earned money would not fall into the hand of an ungrateful person. Tang Yi Hui reassured him that she would give him a satisfactory result.
Jin Cheng asked his wife what would she do to Qin Shi. She nominated Qin Shi, but did not vote for her. She promoted her but also the one who supressed her. Either way, Tang Yi Hui better be training her well. Jin Cheng feared that if the situation continued, Qin Shi would resign from the company less than three months. Tang Yi Hui told him that Qin Shi was too ambitious. And if they let her be, she feared that in the future Cheng & Hui would have to clean up for her mess. Everything she did right now was to lessen Qin Shi’s rebellious nature.
Meanwhile, Mother Yang conversed with Yang Hua about his work. She said that a young man needed to build his own career. And if Yang Hua and Qin Shi were too busy with their career, Mother Yang voluntereed to take care of their house. Yang Hua reassured his mother-in-law that he would not miss to take care of the house or Qin Shi. After Mother Qin left, Yang Hua prepared Qin Shi’s dinner. It seemed that he would not let Qin Shi ate the pig brain dishes…😂
Just like he promised, Tao Jun Hui returned to the office only to see the sight of Qin Shi asleep on his sofa. He took the files from her hand and covered her face with his suit. When he sat at his desk to check on her work, Tao Jun Hui glanced at her. After some time, Qin Shi moved in her sleep and Tao Jun Hui’s suit fell to the floor. Tao Jun Hui stopped his work.
While he grabbed a drink, Tao Jun Hui stared at the woman he used to love before. A familiar feeling surged up inside him. He took the suit to cover Qin Shi as if he was afraid she would feel cold in her sleep.
When he was about to take a piece of paper from her hair, a stern voice stopped him. It was Yang Hua who warned him to not touch Qin Shi. Two grown-up men faced each other.
Yang Hua’s expression was full of hostility while Tao Jun Hui stared at him indifferently. While they engaged in a staring tournament, Qin Shi woke up and looked at them in a daze. Tao Jun Hui warned her that if she wanted to sleep, she better did it in her own office. Qin Shi sobered up in a flash, grabbed her things, and dragged Yang Hua to her office. Tao Jun Hui was irritated by the sight of Qin Shi and Yang Hua. When they arrived at Qin Shi’s office, Yang Hua looked around and sighed. He was dissatisfied with the place but he could do nothing about it.
Inside the car, the atmosphere was cold. Qin Shi saw her phone there were several messages from Yang Hua that she did not read. She awkwardly explained that Tao Jun Hui had been working for Cheng & Hui. A small fact that she forgot to mention to her boyfriend… 😆 Yang Hua told her that he was not angry (but he stepped on the gas…😅). Qin Shi used the chance to coax him and he was finally willing to smile. However, there was still turmoil inside Yang Hua’s mind.
Ren Mei Mei went home and found out that Qin Wenyu had decorated their home and prepared a show for her. He said that Ren Mei Mei had done so many things for the family, hence he would do everything to make her happy every single day.
Yang Hua was mad because Qin Shi did not mind on how Cheng & Hui had treated her. They gave her a small office, while other lawyers had a well-lit office. Yang Hua reminded her that she was being used by others because of her eagerness and ambition. Qin Shi did not want to fight with Yang Hua that night and wanted to forget everything he said.
At the dinner table, Qin Shi said that they had different perspectives about desire. But she asked him how Yang Hua felt about Tao Jun Hui and what he thought about her feelings for Tao Jun Hui. Yang Hua asked her back, whether she had any feelings for Tao Jun Hui. Qin Shi firmly said that she did not have any feelings for Tao Jun Hui. But the only person in the corporate department who could help her situation was only Tao Jun Hui.
Qin Shi knew that Tao Jun Hui hated her because he thought that she had cheated on him. Tao Jun Hui and Qin Shi had broken up for 2 years. Qin Shi and Yang Hua had been married also for two years. Yet, they had a 2.5-year-old son. Therefore, Tao Jun Hui thought that she had cheated on him, hence he hated her for that. Yang Hua did not agree with her opinion. Yet, Qin Shi said an outstanding and prideful person like Tao Jun Hui must feel like he was better than anyone else.
Yang Hua was stunned when he heard how Qin Shi described Tao Jun Hui as an outstanding and prideful person. And for the first time, the talented and arrogant Yang Hua met his match. He instantly felt a sense of insecurity about his position as Qin Shi’s boyfriend.
That night was a sleepless night for Yang Hua. He could not forget the scene when he saw Tao Jun Hui covered Qin Shi with his suit. He woke up and played with his tortoises. He made those tortoises choose between a paper with a drawing of a man that I assumed was Tao Jun Hui’s. The God of Wealth chose to walk to his photo, but Sprite chose the paper. When Qin Shi knocked on his door, Yang Hua panicked…🤣
Qin Shi came to ask for his help with Cao Yiren’s company’s data. But Yang Hua said that the data was far from sufficient and told her to ask for help from her outstanding partner. Qin Shi smiled and sat next to him. She asked whether Yang Hua was jealous of Tao Jun Hui. Of course, Yang Hua would not admit it. Qin Shi did not say anything and just told him that he was cute when he act like that.
Then, she saw the piece of paper with Tao Jun Hui’s drawing on the floor. She took it to have a good look at it and Yang Hua snatched it from her. Since Qin Shi could read that he made his tortoises vote for him, he gave her a chance to describe how great Tao Jun Hui was. And of course Qin Shi would not answer his question. She said that it was an unfair question.
The next day, Yang Hua told Cai Liang about Tao Jun Hui. He advised Yang Hua not to be too serious about Tao Jun Hui. He believed that Tao Jun Hui was only a lawyer and he must be inferior to them (Yang Hua and Cai Liang 😅). But when he checked on the internet about Tao Jun Hui, Cai Liang was baffled. Tao Jun Hui was better than he thought.
When they talked about Tao Jun Hui, Yang Hua saw a familiar face walk into the office. Cai Liang saw it and tried to divert his attention, but it was not easy. In the end, Cai Liang had to explain that the person was Qiu Jin Xiang, Yang Hua’s former boss. Qiu Jin Xiang’s company, Fengyu Finance, collaborated with their bank to sell Fengyu’s product. Wu Fei reported that Cao Yiren was an honest and charming person. He always reported whenever he had social gatherings and mostly it was Ding Fang Fang who arranged the place. According to Wu Fei’s observation, Ding Fang Fang and Cao Yiren’s interaction was all natural. They were a couple who fell in love with each other. Wu Fei also told Tao Jun Hui that Ding Fang fang had changed a lot.
She used to be an arrogant and snobbish person, but now she was a humble and thoughtful person. Tao Jun Hui was able to grasp information that the changes in Ding Fang Fang were influenced by Cao Yiren. Wu Fei concluded Ding Fang Fang and Cao Yiren’s relationship was genuine just like her and Tao Jun Hui’s relationship.
Qin Shi was different from Wu Fei. She did not believe in Cao Yiren although Gang Zi said that there was nothing wrong with Cao Yiren. Zhou Qian Qian and Hai Tao came and told her some information that they had gathered. Cao Yiren walked out of his previous marriage empty-handed because all the properties that he owned during the marriage belonged to her wife. The wife came from a prominent family while Cao Yiren was only an ambitious young man whose life was fully funded by scholarships and bursaries.
The divorce happened because Cao Yiren’s ex-wife cheated on him with a business partner. On the contrary from his ex-wife, Cao Yiren came from a humble background. He did worked at Wall Street for a year and resigned after he was married. Gang Zi’s information was defeated thoroughly by Zhou Qian Qian and Hai Tao.
Tao Jun Hui asked Wu Fei whether her judgment was too arbitrary. Wu Fei said that she got her judgment after she asked Cao Yiren personally about the prenuptial agreement. Cao Yiren responded that he had not thought about it. He said that family was a very important part of his life. And Ding Fang Fang was his only family. However, Ding Fang Fang’s father was not his family. He stated that if Ding Fang Fang personally asked him to sign the agreement, he would do it. But if he has to sign it for the sake of others, he would not sign it.
Before Qin Shi left, Gang Zi had a message on his phone. He laughed out loud after he read it. It was a confirmed news about Cao Yiren’s watch. It was a very pricey watch given by his ex-girlfriend who came from another prominent and well-off family. It was proven that Cao Yiren only dated a girl from a wealthy family. Besides, the prenuptial agreement was not a huge deal. According to Li Dai, Ding Fang Fang told her that if Cao Yiren said he would sign the agreement, she would also sign it.
Li Dai mentioned Qin Shi’s happy marriage and she believed that Qin Shi would understand Cao Yiren and Ding Fang Fang’s feelings. Yet, Qin Shi said that she had signed her prenuptial agreement. She promised that a prenuptial agreement would not harm the relationship. It showed that the couple was mature and wise.
They had to prepare for the worst, regardless it happened or not. Humans feared the unknown, and the prenuptial agreement dealt with these fears. While she conveyed her speech, Tao Jun Hui stared at her. He said nothing, but his hand that was holding a pen moved faster.
Li Dai said that she could help Tao Jun Hui and Qin Shi if they had some concerns regarding Cao Yiren. She also mentioned that she was familiar with how Qin Shi worked and Li Dai believed that Qin Shi must have investigated Cao Yiren’s background, including about the watch. Li Dai said that the watch was given to Cao Yiren as a token of appreciation. And the one who gave the watch was also the person who introduced Ding Fang Fang to Cao Yiren.
Ahahaha… Qin Shi was busted!
The meeting ended after Li Dai played a recorded message from Cao Yiren. It was all about his sincerity to Ding Fang Fang.

He said that Qiu Jin Xiang had been in the industry for forty years and he was proud of his connections in the industry.
Cai Liang also mentioned the New Energy Smart City, the same project that Lao Zhao mentioned before. Cai Liang believed that the massive project would be fruitful. The expected revenue would be high. At the moment, the Credit Department was eyeing the project. And the person responsible for the project was on good terms with Qiu Jin Xiang.
Qin Shi and Li Dai enjoyed their lunch while they talk about everything and anything, including Cao Yiren. Li Dai said that she did not have useful information about Cao Yiren since they were in the opposite position. However, she did have a suggestion for Qin Shi. He recalled what Cai Liang said to him that he should talk to Qin Shi about their cold war. He made up his mind and knocked on her door. When Qin Shi opened the door, Yang Hua asked her whether she had some time to talk, but Qin Shi said no, she didn’t.
